The problem I have had with e-harmony is that only after I paid the fee I could see that there were about 4 matches in my area. Not good odds and because I live in southern Canada it would match me up with people from a different country where I would have to take an expensive ferry ride and travel several hours just to meet them. I'm willing to drive about 2 hours to meet someone, but not all day. Not realistic and was a waste of money.

eHarmony is worth it. It weeds out those who lack seriousness. Let's be honest, In today's society there are a lot of people who simply don't have the social skills, stability, depth or emotional availability to even start a relationship much less thrive in one. Those are the ones, instead of changing their mindset, are more attracted to their own ego, bad attitude and entitlement.

I decided to try. Lots I could say but would encourage you to signup for the trial first. Don't concentrate so much if you can't see the photos but look at how things are organized. Send a question to eharmony - one somewhat easy and one a bit more difficult. Then see if you get a response. And if you can, look for "signs" of bots in some of the matches. Then decide if you want to put out the money. If you don't get a 50% off offer, I would suggest you wait a bit as you will get one. And if you decide you want to give it try, use a credit card that you can lock or it has a one time use just in case the time to re-up comes without you knowing. Just thought I would share a bit and add to your research.

It's terrible. Tons of my matches haven't been on for weeks. The ones that are don't reply to messages. The few who reply don't keep messaging past a couple. The only upside is yes, you get some insights into personality and in theory you get people that match you...if they respond Skip it and by a real doll

They either selected the best ones on the site or used professional photos of people that don't even use the site. Either way, it's to help with advertising. Like are you gonna really use a site that has a shitty cover page that looks unprofessional? I Doubt it. If you need reassurance that it's legit, just take a look at statistics from a variety of sources. I find it highly unlikely that the site is bullshit.

That's expensive! Great matching etc, but what if, after paying for 12 months, there's another lockdown! Nowhere to meet a date, against the lockdown 'rules' to do so, and having to meet wearing masks??? The situation is too unreliable to risk paying out that kind of non-refundable money. POF, although full of people just messing around, is at least free.

After a certain age you can expect that most women will have children, they come as a package. Haven't tried POF for a while. When I did, I didn't notice 'fake' profiles - everyone I messaged got back to me. I wonder if men just say the profiles are fake to explain why no one gets back to them. These guys need to look at their own profiles - actually write something about themselves. Main thing to watch out for are scammers.
