Ehlers Danlos, Physical Therapy and Capsular Shift surgery

Really good video! I have had trouble with physios before, not specifically about surgery, but still not understanding EDS and wanting to stretch things out when they're stretchy enough already and then causing more problems! I ended up just kind of avoiding physio unless there is a really specific need for it, but that doesnt work for everyone.

How much did the genetic test cost to get diagnosed with EDS. My mom, and the doctor, are pretty sure I have EDS. The specialist doctor person didn’t refer a genetic test, because treatment would be the same (PT), but I really want to know if I do have it.

Shortly after I tore the labrum in my right shoulder, an ER nurse yanked my arm straight up (I had developed frozen shoulder syndrome). I know that particular action made the tear worse. Then a couple years later, I made it even worse while flipping my blankets off before getting out of bed. I'm currently searching for a surgeon to fix my shoulder. This discussion makes me want to talk to the local physical therapy office for recommendations.
