First, I've come to appreciate certain blade etches...normally the brand name etches and/or Boy Scout Girl Scout, or other official etches. Not to crazy about the decorative ones. I think I have a few fixed blades with blade stamps. I might have a folder. Those are pretty rare. That Taylor blade stamp is cool. The upside down tang stamps on the Wharncliffe knives is also quite interesting. I need to look for some of those Wharncliffe knives. They look like a great little office knife. I know Tony Bose made some knives based on these!

Traditional Slipjoints are relatively new to me and I'm conscious of going down another rabbit hole.. This does not help. The stag Wharncliffe is the pick of the bunch for me. Thank you for the upload.

Those Serpentine Penknives are grails among TEWs, for me. The Ironwood one is probably my favourite, but they're all absolutely beautiful. I wish these were made by other makers. Rodgers, for example, as I'd love to carry/collect them, but they're just so ridiculously expensive! Either way, those are wonderful pieces, my friend. I enjoyed this very much. I grew up in the UK and more recently moved to the USA. My last birthday, mother came to visit. In an antique store she found and gifted to me an old switchblade of excellent quality, the simple ownership of which could land me in prison across the pond. I never realised how close the Case Seahorse Whittler is to the original Wharncliffe archetypes such as you present.

Iv just acquired a Taylor’s eye whiteness gentlemen’s clip in ironwood..it’s very nice but nearly £200(witch is fine for quality) I would like more symmetry.More over can you or any of your followers point me to a more premium maker? To be clear a very nice thing but if it’s seeing me out and I’m it passing on. I want it to be perfect!
