I know it has almost been two years since this was posted, but this helped finalize my decision. I may get a couple of these for a pedal board I am planning, this will help me save money instead of spending top dollar on an amp with parallel effects loops and then having to split signals.

it will be difficult. It is mainly for a metal rig. I want to use one for an absolutely "evil", dirty and ferocious sound...then have the other be more cosmic and relatively clean, similar to your video here. I will send a link if I decide to make a video with it.

CH1: EHX Oceans 11, Bd 2 , Tremolo CH2: EHX Canyon, Marvellous engine Distortion & Very Thing Booster CH3: Big muff, Soul food , Chorus Works great just as a pedal switcher let alone the other things you can do by running different pedals in parallel 👍🏼 nice playing to bud 🤟🏽

@sandyturner1911
@sandyturner1911 4 жыл бұрын
@@pedalscapes Yes..I would run two of them, but the thing about the One Control, is that it has 9v plug ins, so you can power your pedals with it, too, if you need extra power. So, perhaps a bigger One Control. I have the Xenagama, which is small. So, what to do? There are so many options, now!
@pedalscapes
@pedalscapes 4 жыл бұрын
@@sandyturner1911 I'd like to hear two of them at the same time... Agreed about the amount of options - so much cool gear - so little funds/time... The xenagama looks like a nice tool for your pedals and board, esp with the added power... For me the Tri P is more useful as a recording tool at the moment - as used here - recording four separate output chains from the same source. Maybe somewhere between the two might be the Boss switchers es8 and es5 which also allow you to run a couple of loops in parallel - no added power though... Cheers :)

@@jcalpito2 I do have 2 of them, now, and as far as I can tell, sound passes through, without altering the sound. you can adjust the tone, but it has a Master volume, and a dry volume, and individual volumes, for each loop.

Great sounds! When you are using all three channels on the EHX TPM do you sense any loading? When one channel is on and the other two are off does the one channel it get louder or brighter? I’m thinking about getting one but want to make sure the signals stay constant gain. After adjusting level knobs and tweaking. Love your tune. Really great mix of sounds but still has one solid feel. Thx!
@pedalscapes
@pedalscapes 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Alexi, not that I've noticed... IIRC there is not discernible increase in brightness/loudness when switching out the other channels... in this instance the guitar channels aren't being returned to the mixer, rather they are going direct to recording inputs. Thanks for watching, let me know how you get on... Matt 😎

Hi! What happens if you put dry level at 0? Does channels will still have sound? Does dry acts like "another channel" or it feeds the channels? Great video! Sadly there's no video of in-depth about this pedal yet, its amazing.
@pedalscapes
@pedalscapes 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Moo, great question, yes with dry at zero all of the other channels still go to the output if you send them there, it really is like a mixer... and yes to both your second questions - it can act like another channel and also feeds the channels (it is split to feed the channels so each channel gets an exact copy of the dry signal - then the dry volume blends the dry signal from the input back in to the output (along with the other channels if you wish) so essentially 4 channels, which is how I recorded the guitar on this video - see the description below the vid for an explanation of the signal chain. Thanks for the feedback. Matt :)

You can also Double tap the bottoms right switch and it will bypass the whole pedal returning you to dry input again if you have had left the dry mix at 0

How do You manager stereo effects like ping pong?
@pedalscapes
@pedalscapes 2 жыл бұрын
Although this is a mono device - For this video each channel of the mixer was sent to it's own input for recording to allow better separation and stereo placement - with this in mind you could effectively send a channel to a ping pong delay and take the stereo outs from the delay to 2 separate inputs (in a recording scenario like this)... For a live application, perhaps placing the tri-parallel early in the chain before going stereo could work? Cheers, Matt 😎

Instead of this I’m using my Yamaha mixer Dry guitar, gr55, microkorg all “uneffected” into the mixer then out of the monitor out, out to amp and out of stereo out, out to pedal board, out to amp. If I put the stereo out, out to pedal board back into the mixer I get feedback loop

Well actually: most effects pedals already have parallel mix controls, so this pedal is nothing new. Just rehashing a very old idea....trying to make it look like a new invention which it's definitely NOT.

Most pedals have parallel mix controls? What are you talking about? And EHX never said it was some brand new tech. This shit usually gets done through studio uses. I have a giant pedalboard and everything runs in series. In Series. They do not have "parallel mix controls." They just don't. Sometimes you might find a pedal that has an extra loop in it. Or some big monster thing that has a way to run parallel lines. But that isn't just a normal pedal. You're acting like all pedals have independent inputs and controls to run parallel signals through. They do not.
Sounds you can't get without this thing! EHX Tri Parallel Mixer
