From Manipur here, I will narrate my experience for the first time because your video is really funny but true. I had to comment on it. 😂😂 The 2000s were the worst period, so many encounter killings, the situation was always on a boil. As a kid,i got slapped by an army man for not carrying an id card (i was in class 8 then, and we dont have icards in 2003) and also got kicked by a insurgent because they were drunk on the roadside, not even a single fault of mine. I resented both groups so much. After 2005, things were beginning to cool down with the govt signing suspension of operations with many of the insurgents. And after 12th i moved to mumbai and st. xaviers where to my surprise my Indian brothers and sisters were really helpful and accomodating. It was a really helpful experience, I really felt Indian for the first time. To everyone who has a friend from the northeast, please be accomodating towards them, many of them will have a rough experience before they came to the Metro cities. They will have lots of hesitations and awkwardness. But strike friendship with them, and you will have a humble and loyal friend for life. Of course there will be exceptions. But please empathise and dont mock them. Jai Hind 😇

This may make me sound anti national but most of Indians keep forgetting about NE states as part of our country if we don't acknowledge their existence whole heartedly why do get shocked by their demand for separate nation. It is only in last couple of years have i come across some cultural programs on mainstream channel (Epic ) which featured NE. And whatever i saw in those programs i loved it. Well just like Nagaland Manipur was forcefully merged to the Indian Union against the people's will. The then King of Manipur was house arrested and made to signed the merger agreement at gun point, which resulted to the brith of the insurgencies in Manipur otherwise Manipur was a peaceful Kingdom self sustainable to stand on its on. Also, you forgot to mentioned the famous incident which had shaken the world. The incident of Manorama Tangjam, she was brutally murdered by the armed forces on suspicion (rape and fire bullet in her vagina by the armed forces) and 9 mothers of Manipur protested naked in front of the occupied Army Camp in Kangla holding placard which reads "INDIAN ARMY RAPE US". The national media didn't cover the story until the intervention of the international media. Why didn't you talk about the Mizoram Bombing as well, the only incident in the history of mankind where a nation (Indian Air Force) bombed its own people for resisting against the Indian Occupation. Many massacre in Nagaland, Manipur, Assam which led to brutal killings of thousands of innocent people, rapes etc to suppressed the voice of the people and yet the so called self claimed patriotic brown race expect us to be patriotic! The brown race is a funny race, they hate Britishers for their 200 years of rule in India yet they imposed the very legacy of the whites and expect the Kashmiris and the NEasterners to cherish the biggest FAKING DEMOCRACY. What a disgrace to the human kind!

If what you said about the king of manipur being forced to sign the merger agreement at gunpoint is true, then school textbooks have also really misinterpreted the story , as they just say the govt. "pressurised" the maharaja to sign it, giving the impression that the maharaja was corrupt and for his own benefit in some way, signed the merger without consulting the legistaltive assembly .Though the reality of it seems to have been much more extreme.

North East was never a part of India.. it was after 1826 when the yandaboo treaty was signed it became a part of India.. we are different and we don't want to loose our identity, culture,language and our rights. The influence(population) of non northeasterns are increasing day by day in the seven sister states.. as a result the Indigenous population is becoming minority in this states specially in tripura which is completely gone now.. and next is Assam.. and a so many more.. we are a part of India now and we want rest of the people of india to understand our problems.. you don't know about us because our history is only limited to the northeaster states.. it should be taught or flourished outside of northeast too like we know the history of the rest of the country.. Thanks buddy. A general problem in this country is people getting offended when someone points out faults in institutions people attach sentimental value to. I love the armed forces with all my heart (I'm a second generation fauji kid) but if someone points out a fault in the armed forces which actually exists, I won't get offended because the first step towards improvement is to recognise and accept the problem which exists. Blind patriotism will only lead to degradation of the institution you're loyal towards. However if anyone insults the armed forces I will not tolerate it and give it back to them.

There’s an organised crime for fake encounters and extra judicial deaths. Shashi Tharoor recently mentioned to give more autonomy to the people of NE to solve issues and is the need of the hour which every Indian should understand. It's just sad how less exposure north east has got ever since India got independence. We don't see any mainstream tv series or movie being made which includes that region as the center of it's plot. No news channel ever focuses on the issues that the region is facing apart from sometimes maybe twice or thrice a year. We have some great football players from there which shows that if given exposure how much of talent can be found from there.
