I could honestly see this working out. “Eight Crazy Nights” is a fairly grounded story, with the only outlandish elements being Whitey and Elenor, but those two can be recreated using makeup and knelt-body partial puppetry (similar to Lord Farquaad in “Shrek: The Musical”). All you need to do is bring back Adam Sandler and Robert Smigel to assemble a new song writing/choreography team.

im glad you can find enjoyment out of this movie, but "heartwarming" and "adult humor" is missing the mark in my opinion. this movie made me feel so bad, there was nothing positive about its tone or messaging. the main character was a**hole, the old man was annoying and just made me feel bad for him, and the relationships are so toxic between almost everyone. any "heartwarming" moment is ruined by a dumb joke, making it feel like the writers were too scared to get serious or they might loose their audience. either way, it didnt work, this movie lost over 10 million dollars and was bombed by critics. its such a shame, because the animation is beautiful, I love Don Bluth, I love Danny Devito, I love Keith David, I hate this movie. Adam Sandler is a genuinely good actor, yet he picks the absolute worst roles and films to star in.
