Omg this is exactly what panic attacks/night terrors feel like. Everything feels wrong, from sound to texture- like everything convinces you you're about to die and everything around you is too much, even silence. God when my panic disorder was at it's worst, I'd get chest pain and heart palpitations, I literally had to go consult a bunch of heart surgeons. Like I wish I could explain to most people what they're like for me, because I don't think mine are like the ones most people have. For me, a panic attack feels like my heart is being crushed, I'm in intense pain and cannot do anything but sit and wait for death. My chest vibrates and starts to beat a lot (though my pulse does not change so we figured it wasn't my heart doing it). I convulse, I seize, I literally have to tell people I'm close with what I'm like because I've had an ambulance called on me before.

This is an excellent visual representation of what anxiety feels like. Even the most mediocre or ordinary things feel like an over-stimulating mess of color, light, and noise. When this song came on during the pool party scene, my chest tightened and I found that I was curling into myself. Burnham’s bout with anxiety is actually very similar to mine. We both experienced it as kids- feeling sick to our stomachs so often that we had to go to the hospital to drink barium and get our intestines scoped out for anomalies- only to discover that anxiety was the true culprit all along. I don’t think I’ve ever connected with someone about my anxiety as much as I do with Bo. He really gets it. I discovered him early in high school, and now I’m pursuing a career in film and television at SCAD, with a focus on directing, writing, and comedy. Bo definitely played a part in helping me find my niche and proving to me that I can be successful despite my anxiety.

Random rant! This is not my case. Anyone else has anxiety problem where you forget how to speak like I just don't remember how to control my vocals and its turns out as a mess of silent voice full of voice cracks. I try my best but I just can't remember how to use my vocal cords. This maybe cuz I had a voice problem when I was young which I got made fun off alot my words were meaningless bcuz of it and all the doctors gave me random medicines that didn't work and I ended up having side effects from long term use(no hate on doctors). ( Btw I found out myself what the problem was it's called puberphonia). Sry for the rant, I am on way to recovering from my fear of getting made fun for my voice(it's far better now but still I let get to my head then now I am still conserned and go silent) .

If u guys are wondering "Where's Bo Burmham?" Well.... Buckle up buddies, this is a long one. Bo Burnham got more and more anxious despite loving stand up comedy. Eventually leading to panic attacks on *stage.* He was scared from preforming, became depressed, basically just laughed through the pain. For example: In "Make Happy." The last song "Can't handle this right now" There is a line that states "Come and watch the skinny kid with a steadying declining mental health, and laugh as attempts to give you what he cannot give himself." The 'thing he cannot give himself" Is happiness (For obvious reasons) Both the name and that line is proof he had severe anxiety issues (and the fact that he said it on in interview). He didn't hate preforming tho, he loved it. He just needed to stop due to his mental health. He then made a movie and wrote songs for sesame street. But don't lose hope completely. He does some short stand-ups in LA. And he *really wants to get back to comedy.* So we never know, maybe in time he will come back with a massive banger. If I made any mistakes. please correct me. Have a nice day. *!!!EDIT!!! :* Just found out he played the role of Ryan in a movie called "Promising Young Woman" which is in theaters this christmas. Ladies and Gents. He's back, but in an unexpected way for most of us.
