S.H.Figuarts Dragon Ball Super Super hero Ultimate Son Gohan was released on the 16th of July as an over the counter regular release and retails for 3850 yen or roughly 35 USD.
Super Hero Ultimate Gohan is the 4th figure in the Dragon Ball Super Super Hero lineup, with Picollo, Goku and Vegeta preceding in consecutive months. Gammer 1 and 2 is set for a January 2023 release with no other additional figures in the wave being confirmed as yet.

I’ve been waiting for the Purple Gi Gohan as THIS was what he wore in the Universe Tournament in the Manga where he stood toe to toe with Kefla. The anime gohan was relatively nerfed. So stoked to add him to the universe tournament shelf.

I'm happy to see the dumbbell bar instead of the neck peg from prior figures. Massive improvement, DBS Broly and SS4 Goku have these and makes head swapping less of a fear now with how sturdier it is.

I’ve never been so hyped for such a basic figure 🤣 How do you feel about accessories for one release being included in another release? Would you like to see more of this? I’ve yet to handle a 3.0 body but that shoulder articulation looks like a very welcome addition! I am bothered that you can’t move the legs back but that might change when I have one in person.

Gohan in THIS outfit is the one I have wanted since I started collecting the line. Some of my fav scenes outside of the Saiyan and Cell Sagas are the ones involving Gohan training Videl and Goten about how Ki works and he was wearing this outfit basically. Also from the Great Second Broly film. Glad to have him on the way. hope I can put pointy shoes on him from an old Piccolo or something. Im pretty angry about the Head with glasses being behind another purchase of the Androids which I have no interest in. Hope Demonical fit comes out with a head pack for this figure or something.

I regret not buying this now. It was cheap. But I chose Frieza instead. But this one does have a few problems tho. For example the butterfly joints are way too gappy. He's also a bit glossy. Other than that, It's very good. Not a fan of 3.0 legs and hips. But a very good figure tho. The reason why I like the 2.0 figs is they were designed to have a good sculpt that hid articulation as best as they could. Where all the joints on 3.0 stand out.

Pretty good looking figure, the softer face is no suprise since every Vegeta figure has that problem with prototype vs release unfortunately. Would've loved shading to make up for lack of accessories but alas, they are with the Gamma figures. The articulation looks great to especially with the shoulder gi implementation and ankle joints (sucks about the sculpted but though). As for the 3.0. I don't know the timeline (I know this Gohan took inspiration from Krillin and ssj4 Goku at least) but I'm definitely done getting more figures of the Goku again in this body type since I'm happy with all the 2.0. ones I got. Hope they would use the body type 1st for unreleased figures like Android Saga Yamcha or Adult base GT Goku.

Do you think orange piccolo and cell max will be giant figures akin to Broly or even great ape size? I am very confused if these figures will be made or how down sized they will make them if they do plan to release them. Anyway i think i might pass on all the super hero line so far because nothing has really enticed me but they are certainly not bad imo. I think they are a great start especially if you don’t have a base Goku or vegeta. I still remember the base form Cell saga Vegeta that was shown a couple years back alongside full power goku, saj2 goku, the new tien, etc etc. i feel like tamashii might release him next and that’s the one Vegeta i plan to get because i prefer that look the most for Vegeta but hopefully they can update his face or even make that figure retooled into a Super Vegeta figure.

Everything on him is good but the only thing i don't dig are the boots. Granted that's how the movie had them but i like the pointed boot more it's more dragon ball to me lol. I guess in the grand scheme of things it doesn’t really matter. However the big difference is in the butterfly joints and ankles. Also you can fit any heads on this body because the neck is too thick

I will say this: The upper body of the V3 is far superior, with the more realistic musculature of the arms and the improved articulation and sculpt. But I still prefer the lower body of the V2 body.

This figure is the best looking Gohan next to figure rise Future/Ultimate Gohan being 2nd, ashame about the yelling face its really off to me but overall will highly pick this up despite me already having the 1.0 Ultimate Gohan which is still a good figure despite its time and I recommend you pick it up if you seen one for a good price @eightysixedreviews.
