When Eileen Farrell was singing this, I was 8 years old. I had no idea music like this existed. But I already was (unknowingly) a nascent Rossini fan, of course, through the theme music for The Lone Ranger. I also had no idea there existed such a voice! What an experience, to listen to it now!
