If she has a lot of trauma to deal with why murder dad, i feel like she would regret that and become more stressed and more sick. Instead of fixing moms leg bring brother back.

I think that she killed her dad because he kept drugging her and wouldn't let her leave. Maybe this was the only way she felt she could be free. I just wish that on the way back to university she could have broken out Grandma and they could develop their powers together.

Good point. If there were a true supernatural power, it would develop along lines like these; from being unaware to suppressing, and later controlling them. And, yes, along the way it would be dark, tragic, and guilt ridden. The best intentions could not contain or prevent what the inevitable harm, pain and alienation. The world world would be darker.

Why should the lead actors conform to beauty standards even in art house films ? After all, art is supposed to breaks all superficial norms. These art house film makers are phonies and hypocrites.
@marlenesammito88876 жыл бұрын
vins vijayakumar yes but on the other hand, in a lesbian love story you run the risk of portraying the boring (!) ‘ugly lesbian’ stereotype. I appreciate that we are shown that also normal and beautiful women can fall in love with one another in a real, not just-a-phase way. I think the faces here are absolutely beautiful but not banale and the choice very well pondered. You have Kaya who is clearly more androgynous and Harboe who I on the other hand found incredibly soft and clean. I don’t think it falls into stereotyped beauty standards (not in the LGBT at least- perhaps in the Nordic beauty standards, that yes). However this is an aesthetically driven movie and much of the focus is on the lineaments and expressions of the main characters. Have you watched it? I would not change Harboe’s face for any other after having seen it. She played the role touchingly well.

Marl Sammito you’re absolutely right!
@tangerineblaze25674 жыл бұрын
Haven’t you heard about reality? If you are a producer or director, do you think you want your lead actress to be physically unattractive? Do you think it will sell? Beauty standard sells even in ancient times, beautiful face and body is most preferred models for sculptures and famous paintings.
@kimgysen103 жыл бұрын
And not a word about their performance? What's the point in willingly choosing ugly actresses? I really enjoyed the movie and actresses. The main actress has a very special expression in her face and deep eyes, which was well casted IMO.
@garth5610 ай бұрын
The typical lesbian movie has got to have horror to side step the main theme.. This is nonsense take away the horror or super natural nonsense and you might have a movie worth talking about. I'm sorry but this movie is a complete pile of s..t and that's all I can say!!
