To this day I still dream about this game getting a sequel

What, you mean Omega Boost? spiritual successor, IMO
@321cheeseman9 жыл бұрын
+DoYouDigItNow What? Omega Boost has basically nothing in common aside from that you shoot enemies and dodge projectiles and both games are on the PlayStation. It's not even the same genre of game.
@Cacowninja8 жыл бұрын
+DoYouDigItNow Actual the R-Type series is much more alike this game than Omega Boost.

I remember buying this game from a friend & mastering it on easy, then not dying at all on normal. I went on to almost master Hard mode, but I couldn't defeat the final boss. Watching you beat the boss on hard mode, gives me great satisfaction.

I've played this game when it first came out. Never even got close to beating the first boss. Now that I've found it again I can't even clear the 4th boss. And seeing this Longrun makes me sad knowing how much is coming at me after that boss. You make this game look so easy.

And the moral of the story is: "If you don't want people to commit treason, don't ask them to fight all of your enemies by themselves and then try to kill them afterward." One person (and his or her ship) destroyed the majority of both factions in a war and became feared enough to warrant a _damnatio memoriae._ He or she deserves a sequel.

The game was too hard for me, I never passed that monkey robot. Frustrated, I used gameshark and use invisibility to finish the game. You made it look so easy. Thanks for the awesome gameplay.

This game is a classic, shame that Squaresoft put it on the Oblivion, I hope one day Square release it in HD on Steam like the FF games. I didn't remembered that I actually beat the game I think on Normal, BTW the music is so similar to Parasite Eve music.

So you're basically a throw away pawn sent by the moon to assault the earth. And their plan was to assasinate you "after your heroric deed?" What in the flying fuck... I'm not sure why the pilot decides to go back to the moon. To turn on his superiors? I know I'm over-analyzing this, but it makes me wonder. It also makes me wonder if Square Enix will release an HD remake, or perhaps a sequel to commemorate it's 20th anniversary in 2017/2018.

You fight the actual Einhander ship in World of Final Fantasy. In FFXIV they named a boss "Einhander" but it's some kind of dragon/horned bird thing.

+Kuromatsu619 The protagonists were sent on a suicide mission. They survived, and had learned from their time attacking Sodom that the Earth was the same kind of wasteland as the Moon. Allowing them to return home could undermine Selene's justification for the war (to retake the "holy land", Earth which they have convinced the populace of the Moon is a bountiful utopia). Therefore, Selene uses the combat data from the Einhander units to perfect unmanned drone replacements and use them to kill the protagonist to silence them. Protagonist realizes that the war has become pointless and decides to attack Selene in order to try and force a truce by crippling both sides' ability to fight. They accomplish this, from what we see in the epilogue.
