It's actually the *imprefections* of this that make you realize how amazing it is, because those make it clear this wasn't a program or assisted. Like shots that missed an enemy that could have been hit had it been fired a second later or earlier. And hesitations that weren't required ones.

Everybody on KZbin always plays through the last part of the Ballos fight the same way, tanking the damage and unloading all of their missiles. Glad to see somebody who demonstrates just how crazy it really gets when you try and do it the proper way.

You know, before I beat Cave Story, seeing this, I was pretty freaking impressed. But after going through the trial by fire that is beating Ballos, I can safely say that this playthrough just become a million times more incredible. The split second decision-making was evident and the dedication is phenomenal. Well done mate.

I remember I could actually do this (WITH plenty of hp and whatever weapons) years ago, quite reliably, and even managed taking fairly little damage sometimes.. (like 40- total maybe) but seriously.. Watching this guy dodge EVERYTHING like this.. The mastery is fucking unreal........

thejumperkin thank god I played it on 3ds on easy... Sorry it's just I was new and all... My backside was handed to me often here, so I quit and here I am again in the same situation but in CS+ switch version... Ballos ain't as annoying to deal with, there's less enemies, MUCH more forgiveness in healing items popping up, etc

Damn, mad respect on that one. I think this is the first time that I've actually seen the final phase (7:05) play out. It's usually hard enough with stronger weapons, and the player will immediately blast all they got. So that 'blistered' Ballos gets nuked out of existence before he gets the chance to act. Parrying all those 'hell's angels" was the most impressive part of this run to me.

Mr PikPik if correct, when about to fight misery as curly in curly story, it's revealed that quote beat the doctor, took the crown for himself, and orders misery to kill curly, who then wakes up in what I believe Is a house curly, quote and balrog live in after the best ending... Could be wrong though

Really nice playthrough, man! But there is a trick for beating Ballos's second form (when he transforms into that jumping sphere) faster. When he lands, jump into his eye, point upwards and shoot. It does a lot more damage than normal. Just a tip. ;)

I thought Ballos fight was the same gorey as other bossfights like the doctor and undead core, especially his third phase since it seems like his face got torn up and be all bloody. Looking closer I just realized now that those aren't bloods inside his face.

I can understand doing this for B1, B3, Heavy Press, and Ballos 1-3. I don't consider myself particularly skilled and even I've done no damage or close to it on these parts. B2 seems to be incredibly difficult, but still possible. Yet how the hell does one beat Ballos 4 under these conditions??? Especially without blade level 3. It seems that it requires an unbelievable amount of luck. I wonder how many attempts this run took?
