It is great that you take the time to show us that there is more to it than just baiting and hauling! Give us an appreciation of what it takes to get a quality meal to the plate! Thank you.

Sent from my iPad Hello you guys I really Enjoy your videos and just wanted to let you know that and of course we’re all looking forward to see you go fishing with your new boat and we’re all really happy that you and your family are all doing so well. I am myself on the other side. I am unfortunately having a lot to deal with from a health standpoint. I unfortunately had to have a liver transplant and because of the transplant and the medication that I have to take I don’t have an immune system anymore so I have to stay at home and stay away from people whether they are family or not which is extremely unfortunate. And my wife to whom I’ve been married to Notruf for almost 28 years has died which makes life pretty unbearable, but until my time comes, we will do our best to keep our heads up and what really helps me is watching your success in your videos and I also want to say you have done a terrific job with your boat that you and your family have worked so hard making it something you can be truly happy with you’ve done a real good job. You can be very Satisfied with yourselves Keep up the good work. Take care and God bless and May your lives be full of bountiful Blessings from the sea. Take care my friends..😉😊👋 P.S. 🗣️Good fishing..! 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟 With friendly greetings Douglas, Edward Leslie

I like the old school hydraulics, any dcv's with solenoids don't belong on a f/v. Nothing but trouble. I agree with your sentiment on steel jic crimp fitting also, they will last as long as the hose with some good paint on them.

I really like the explanation on the different safety devices on your fishing vessel. I did not know a lot of that. I'd love to go on a short trip with you. I bet you get that all the time

I really liked how you took the time to explain about how the emergency raft works and the EPERB. Now lets see you practice what you preach about dawning the survival suit. I know I have had to learn that myself before with a friend of mine who was a chief in the coast guard. I think that would make get content for some of the viewers out here.😊 Great work as always, she looks just about ready to set out for the happy fishing grounds.😊

I suppose you will need some of these tools on board in case of emergency , to fabricate repair something on the spot so you dont need to find a harbor to return to fix it and go out again . Plus i am hopping for a live stream the first time you take it out for fishing !
@EISAlaskaАй бұрын
Yep, we kept a ton of tools and supplies on board. Pays to be prepared for anything. Turns out almost everything worked out perfectly, just a few very small changes and tasks.

0:33 Looks like when the braided hose fills with oil, the constant vibration from the engine may cause fatigue in the attached piping. I think a mount might be needed at the wall to braided hose. I might be wrong.

Your registration and permitting is similar to the uk,basically bureaucracy likes to get its hands on ya hard earned money,always found the hardest part of refitting a boat was clearing all the crap up afterwards ,lol

When are you going to show the home comforts ? Living space, bunks, galley, Starlink, TV, etc. And do you have cctv covering the deck from the helm ?

Wish I could get "Fired up", but there isn't a lot to get fired up about here in the good old Divided Kingdom (ex UK). Excellent video guys when is our first trip I've got my buoyancy aid ready to put on?
@william6526Ай бұрын
One question ,how are you going to wash all the fish blood ,slime and debri out from under you elevated deck so it doesn't smell. The boat looks great,what a change from when you first brought her home. You guys are doing a top notch job with all the repairs and improvements. This boat is going to be a fishing machine that is going to give you years of service. Matt's kids will probably be fishing this boat someday.
@EISAlaskaАй бұрын
We have a 1 1/2" washdown hose that moves quite some volume of water. Later we'll plumb in a 2" from our actual crab pump. As long as we rinse it well it'll stay relatively clean underneath.
@robdeaton9910Ай бұрын
Oh yeah there is a difference between a survival suit and a mustang suit for some random knowledge.😊
@mathewjaycox843Ай бұрын
On the Fishtail you are able to just hose it down to clean up after running set. With the raised floor and slots, how will you be able to thoroughly wash down the deck? Won’t there be residual slime or blood under your raised floor that will stink after time.
@EISAlaskaАй бұрын
@@mathewjaycox843 Lots of water. It flushes everything off the deck and through the scuppers. A good blast with bleach solution to keep the bugs away.

Lol I do this quite often what y'all should know. Okay have you decided where to put the camera to get the best angle cuz y'all have it perfectly on the fish tail.i think y'all have to move it around until you find the right spot.but just wondering if y'all have thought about it

Do you want/need any view portals through the port and starboard wind walls?
@EISAlaskaАй бұрын
Yes! We'll add some Lexan windows on both sides. No plans to sell the Fish Tale. We have halibut quota currently tied to her.
@PhilsHobbyRoomАй бұрын
It's all looking so good I can't wait to she her in action also got a question are yall going to re insulate the sealing in the main room it will probably quite things down a lot from the outside 😊 also another question what size is the bunk behind the dinette where the captain sleeps 💤 also do yall have a mailing address where yall get packages?😊
@EISAlaskaАй бұрын
Yes, we will get some insulation on the cabin ceiling soon. Also the walls, as there is little to none and winter is creeping in. At some point the engine room ceiling and forward bulkhead will get soundproofing and that will help cut the noise down. Captain's bunk is 6' foot long and 2- 2 1/2" wide. I will need to get better measurement. At any rate it is comfy. We get USPS mail at PO Box 1970 Kodiak, Ak. 99615. Thanks Phil!

For the hydraulics? Engine room is a good place. Then there is a reason to run down there and check on things. We don't swap back and forth during the day much, only when we anchor for the nite, so we are in the habit of switching it in the evening after we drop the hook and shutdown.
@davidolsen7539Ай бұрын
Perhaps this has been asked. But with the spray walls, how do you quickly access the bow?
@EISAlaskaАй бұрын
There is a door, forward starboard side right at the helm. Acually about three feet forward of the lifering in the thumbnail. 😁
@Scottb92768Ай бұрын
I have a question I don't think anybody's ever asked if they have I just missed it how often does the Coast guard board you guys to check your boat and check your license your permits Make sure you're doing everything legal but is it the Coast guard that does all that or is there somebody else but how often hasn't happened to you does it happen every year
@EISAlaskaАй бұрын
We don't get boarded very often by the USCG. Maybe every two or three years. They focus on safty equiptment and make sure your documentation is current. If you have fish onboard they will ask your target speciaes and may look at permits in the case of halibut or sablefish. The Alaska State Troopers also do enforcement and will check vessel registration, douumentation and permits. We see these folks more often, sometimes several times a year. Both agencies are incredibly professional and respectful and we are more than happy to have them onboard to check on us and also have them out and about keeping everyone safe!
