@@hetty8196 Thank you sooo much. ❤I didn't know it was from there. I'm Swedish and I can understand a lot of it in writing, but had a hard time hearing the words. I managed to understand some of it, but this makes it so much easier. Edit: Can't find the rest though it seems, there's more of it in the TLK intro song. Do you know where I can find the rest of it, exactly like she sings it? All the ones I can find are either in different languages/or translated differently, I guess. Can't find the version you wrote.

'The Last Kingdom' is without doubt the best television I have ever watched & no doubt will ever watch. The two 'Last Kingdom' soundtracks are as equally as brilliant but lets not forget Bernard Cornwell, English author, who wrote the magnificent 'Warrior/Saxon Chronicls' series of books 📚 with which without the aforementioned would never have materialised. Read them!

As far as Netflix goes,,,it's a toss up between Last Kingdom, and Altered Carbon. That too, was a terrific show, with some awesome writers. I wish they had given it more than two seasons though😢 Same with Marco Polo and DaVinci's Demons. Thought those shows were worth an honorable mention 😊✌️💪

The series by Bernard Cornwell is a captivating read. Great story, all the way. Like so many movies/ TV series based on a book, so many things are either missed or changed. There was a lot missed & changed in the TV series. It was an interesting series to watch. Beautiful music.

From "Hávamálum" where Óðinn speaks with a witch as Ragnarök begins and forces her to tell him what was in the past, what is happening in the present and when the end will come, these two words are spoken by the witch few times "Sólin sortnar" and it gets darker and more urgent as Ragnarök draws cloese.

Eivør's music & talented musicians accompanying her have CREATED a soul for a quintessentially British story involving the reality of Danish/Viking invasion, rule in areas & how the Vikings really did get about far & wide over large expanses of sea. This spirit is forever woven into the soul of the contemporary British lineage people. It's one of the reasons it's so hard to integrate other cultures into Britain from Africa, Carribbean, Middle East, etc. Those cultures are fundamentally foreign to this.
