What's crazy with EJ is when he plays something i'm thinking "Omg,that's beautiful,so melodical!",then he stops and says something and i'm still thinking it's beautiful so i miss what he says,then he plays again so i tell myself "Omg,it's beautiful,so melodical!",and so on. So in the end i tell myself "Wait!What did he say?" so i have to watch it again and so on. Please EJ,never stop those mini lessons.

It’s the limited custom shop run they did - they did 50 of them, 24 domestically into USA. I was luckily enough to get one, it’s the most amazing instrument I have ever owned

@@EnigmaOnStringsAh that's so interesting. There is some rig run down of ej where he mentioned the custom line of that signature model. I tried to find a shop that sells it (manly because I wanted to know the price) but couldn't. I really liked the sound whenever eric played this instrument. Congrats on your purchase then! (the body is ash and also visible structure of the wood through the varnish?)

A Radieschen yea they were master built by Carlos Lopez - the body is sassafras- and they are replicas of his original Virginia strat down to every check line - with a few things he asked for including an AAAA flame maple neck. If you search for the fender KZbin page he did a video recently on there about it (and the non custom shop version)

I’ve been playing guitar for 30 years. I still struggle sometimes and then I watch Eric. He makes playing guitar so easy and effortless. Yes it’s the result of endless hours of practice but I am 1000% positive I could practice every hour for the rest of my life and never even get close to his natural ability. He is just an anomaly.

This is great to point out Eric. Whenever I'm attempting to play Jeff Beck tunes, because of Jeff's knack for leaving lots of space between these long sustained phrases, I didn't realize how much I was muting with my right fingers to control Beck's technical chaos. Great lesson. Thanks again for sharing.

YES! Muting is an often overlooked technique and it is super important. Especially at high volume.

Eric, you are the greatest! And so generous with these excellent lessons. But Please, please, please, fix the audio. You, of all people, know how important the audio mix is in recording.

Just wondering if you can enlighten us on your gear philosophy. For example, how do you deal with hum and other noisy glitches that can happen when you start adding amp switching or when using high gain and high volumes? Might be a cool idea for a lesson. I would sure like you know how you address those things. Loving these lessons by the way... Cheers!

I remember in an interview (it may have been Matt Schofield) who indicated that there was quite a bit of stage hum, etc with Eric’s rig - being as old school as Eric is, I would think he just accepts it as the cost of a phenomenal, authentic tone

I love how you'll be playing in one position and then suddenly jump to another spot on the fretboard. Kind of happens after 1:30. Can you talk at some point about how you approach these big moves?

He covered exactly that.., in a previous mini lesson.. Sorry that I don't remember exactly which one.. (view lessons 6-10.. (?) All worthwhile no matter what is on them..). So gracious of Eric to share his wealth of experience in a way that is reasonably easily understood..

Eric I love what you're doing, but please consider working on the volume levels, sometimes it almost blows my speakers when the guitar comes in, I have to keep manually raising and lowering the volume according to whether you're speaking or playing
