Of all the dozens of chord positions he played, I think I recognized 6. Man...I've got a long way to go.

Eric, thank you for that beautiful presentation. I think it was one of the best yet. Maybe you're already familiar with the playing and composition of Franco Mussida, the guitarist of Italy's classic PFM. You can find various live performances of "Peninsula," and they're all brilliant. Franco has always been a superb electric guitarist, but with a classical instrument he's transcendent. Thanks again, Eric!

Wow, thanks Eric! Heavenly chord progressions. Would you please please please do a lesson on 'Let a Friend Find You'? I love that song and I couldn't find any tabs.
@charliejamz.4 жыл бұрын
What works best for me, is if you play the song and just keep pausing it. Listening closely to what notes are being played where and for chords too.
@aradieschen48804 жыл бұрын
@@charliejamz. I'll give it another try. I know I really should work on my ear, but it's just so hard. I actually cheated during my ear training exam by hiding a tuner on my lap... Didn't matter as an orchestra musician, but for learning the guitar it really has become an issue and a constant source of embarrassment. So kids, learn your intervals and solmisation!

Eric Johnson and Tommy Emmanuel are my two favorite musicians. I enjoy learning and playing both their styles, and they've taken my playing to the next level. Yes, it would be something to hear these wonderful musicians together. Could happen, Tommy shows up in the strangest places (Saucer Studio?) ;-).

EJ could you please tell me why you do not use half and half’s? You are one of the greatest jazz guitarist there are to date bar none. Unfortunately I do not like it when I hear a guitar neck squeak. Would you be so kind as to tell us what causes this and why do guitarists insist on using the same strings that cause this phenomenon in the first place? Thank you for your kind attention in this matter I look forward to seeing you in San Diego on your next go round. Warmly Kahtarina
