At 28:46 you by mistake wrote 1 year insted of 1 month . Validity 3 mounts Notice 30 days from date of receiving thr memo 15 days notice for making payment 16th day Cause of action stars arising It lasts for 1 month means 15th day k bad 1 month You may also file case after 1 month if you satisfy the court that you due to sufficient cause you were not able to file complaint within stipulated time i.e 1 month provided under proviso after 142 (b)

After 15 days, complaint need to be filed within 1 month as written in Sec. 142(b), although proviso is also given

Dear Chaitanya ji for filing criminal complaint period of limitation begins after cause of action arises if upon notice to drawer he fails or neglects to pay in 15 days to payee the cheque amount you said it is 1 year time for filing complaint before JM/MM Court that is not correct, correct period is 30 days.

One doubt regarding Sec 143. . In ordinary trial of cases under Sec 138 the punishment is maximum two years imprisonment and penalty is twice the cheque amount . But in speedy trials the judge can sentence for one year imprisonment and the penalty of Rs. 5000/- My doubt is . why this difference in punishment and on what basis this can of punishment are separated.Usually in speedy trials the penalty should be higher compared to other trail.but here it is very low,
