This was 1 day before the final episode of Thunder and 6 days before the final Nitro show :(.

@@coreyrowe4119 WCW was losing money at an alarming rate by then. I stopped watching WCW completely by the end of 2000.

@@drewzuhosky6826 I believe they lost $62 million in 2000. WCW going outta business was bad for wrestling tho. Even tho WCW at the end was pretty much dead in the water, their mere presence still kept McMahon honest and forcing him to keep putting out the best WWF product he possibly could. WWF programming started to go downhill in quality with no real competition left to push them and they'll probably never reach those heights again.

So cool to see Marv Albert hosting Inside the NBA. When the NBA was on CBS, one of the many assignments Marv had was hosting NBC’s Baseball studio show before the start of the MLB Game of the Week.

This was a fun episode. Marv probably felt like he was back in New York doing those highlights.

This was a fun weird episode, Ernie and the crew doing broadcasting while Marv did studio action, recapping the games 11:04 The Last Thunder ever

Marv was professional, but you can see how he's better suited to enthusiastically calling plays than he is studio banter. Mike Fratello is a prodigious basketball mind. If you're a hardcore hoophead, he's always a great listen. But he's not necessarily entertaining. Peter Vescey knows his stuff and has a lot of historical perspective. But he never gets along with his co-hosts and always managed to bring other people down with mean, degrading language. Also, can you imagine how different the NBA would be if they had brought back the hand check, like Fratello said? And imagine them talking about BOOKS or showing PRINTED PHOTOGRAPHS on the air nowadays. Oh, how times have changed.

was this before march 2001 ? Because ufc 30 was hosted on Feb 23 2001

Well, per Basketball Reference, the Knicks played in Cleveland on March 20th, 2001 with a winning score of 110-75 (just like the video) . So the date in the video title is definitely correct.
