Sikh wedding is different from this. This is more like a Punjabi wedding. Me and my Fiancé r Sikhs and if u search on KZbin Gursikh wedding u will see both bride n groom wear turbans, Gursikh girls r not allowed to wear makeup or jewelry and we don’t wear Bhindi or sindoor. Also a Gursikh Man does not wear all those pearls hanging in front of his face. Search for Gursikh wedding and u will see what Sikh weddings r like.

I think it’s very dependant on familial beliefs. Some Sikhs are strict Gursikhs and don’t follow most rituals and have fairly simple and intimate weddings, others are lenient and do some customs but still in a more simplistic way, and other families aren’t gursikh so follow more societal customs. I belong to a gursikh family and so does my intended however we have lots of family that want to do customs so we’re balancing our parent’s faith with their wishes and celebrating a few customs but it will be very intimate with just family :)
