You're the firrst reactor I've seen who caught on first watching that Jinx was humming the same song as ep 1, the last time she crossed that bridge. Well done

Other reactors noticed that too, but they are a minority :)

This is a good moment to watch the official music video of Imagine Dragons’s “Enemy”. It basically shows the gang growing up as kids.

I have a theory about the Jinx seen in that video. It's not the mentally ill Jinx we see here. It the confident adult that Powder wants to be. Artists be doing art and storytelling even there.

Agreed…please do a review of that video…it’s poignantly painful and really pulls on your heart strings.

Bravo for recognizing that the grenade at the end was first and foremost a suicide attempt. At this point, Jinx is a failure at everything, up to and including just being Jinx, being Silco’s weapon and overcoming his enemy. Vi has “betrayed and abandoned” her again, her only real tie to her childhood just kicked her ass. What’s left? Also Ekko stopped for the reason he must - because he loves her

I think the way Ekko looks at her plays its part too. He pauses and looks at her without fear or anger or revulsion, he sees the old her again, and she's just .. done. Her final expression just seems like a wistful goodbye.

jinx is self destructive. she held her shot and took the beat down then decided to end it.

@@frankb8616 Ekko predicted her movements. Its reference to his ability in the game. People mistake the slow mo as Jinx held back but no Jinx legitimately lost this duel.
@frankb86168 ай бұрын
No thats wrong. He saw exactly how it would go down and she did not shoot him. He then realized this as he was punching her. She took the beat down just as she wanted. The slow mo was to signify the moment it should have happened but didnt @@ssj4jw

@@frankb8616 They would have shown her finger off the trigger if she was deliberately losing the fight. Ekko won that fight on his on skill not because Jinx was going easy on him. She never hesitated to shoot him before and never thinks about him after the fight. He reacted faster than she could pull the trigger.

As you said, while she was on the ground her gaze was that of Powder, scared and fragile, not that of Jinx (even on the ground would have been angry and fearless). What I think is that after seeing Vi leave again, she still felt betrayed by Silco and seeing her childhood friend spare and pity her. She could no longer bear the pain and weight of what she has become and the suffering with which she lives. So she chose not to let Ekko save her, she felt tired and end her life

As always excellent reaction and thoughts... I had suscribed long before Arcane, but seen good amount of other Arcane reactions (it helps me waiting for season 2) but your keen understanding of the characters motivations and circumstances are trully sharp and revealing some angles I still missed! Thank you! P.S. Can't wait too see your reaction of the finale episode :D

You can actually very faintly hear Ekko smacking the bomb away with his weapon right before the explosion happens so he does end up preventing a lot of damage happening to Jinx, as well as himself.

So, first of all, THANK YOU for the Ekko love! That's why he's probably my favorite character in Arcane, since he's the only one helping presently. Second of all, 14:27 I understand Vi's probably scared of Jinx and wants to get Cait to safety, but why not have Ekko get her out of there while Vi stays and shows Jinx that she wasn't leaving her?🤔

I have my own thoughts on it. first, the moment when she is knocked down and stops fighting, that is Powder. I think that Powder is heartbroken to see someone who she once considered a friend, who didn't belittle her when she was younger, fighting her with such Verocity. Second, she sees Vi slipping further and further away from her. Third, most of the time, it is Jinx in control. I honestly believe this was Powder attempting to go out on her own terms, next too a childhood friend.

Yes that look she gives Ekko when he stop, always remind me of that kind of look when you'll say "fine... I'll do it my self" 😢

Amazing episode and reaction.🧡 If you wanna see a cool detail have a look at the very last shot of Jinx on the ground and have a closer look on her throat. You will see that her clothing forms the word "Vi" there and close to it some dirt also forms a "Vi". Imo giving it is both on her throat it could symbolize a last desperate call for her sister..😭

I said it before 14:26 is the second time Vi turns her back on her sister , she is the reason powder is this way , Vi always seems to run away from her responsibilities , i hate her . at this point Powder/Jinx is better off without VI . all Vi ever does is cause pain to her sister . i guess its true what they say familly sometimes can be the worst enemy .
@solkillex4 ай бұрын
the mischaracterization of Vi is wild in your comment, goddamn
@JennFet4 ай бұрын
Jinx just shot her, Vi had to go drop Caitlyn off to a safe place because Jinx wanted to kill her. Her responsibilities? It's not her responsibility to save her, Jinx is an adult and won't let herself be helped, Jinx without Vi became unstable, Silco was the one who made her even more unstable, you can't blame Vi when I didn't see her for seven years you're right that the family can be your worst enemy, you can see it clearly when jinx tries to manipulate Vi, make her feel guilty, try to get her to kill Caitlyn, mock Vi by making her believe that she had killed Caitlyn and not show any empathy when Vi told her what she experienced in prison, Jinx is really a bad sister
