This should be standard in all cities in Nigeria. But keep giving Ghana 24hr electric while power goes out every 2hrs in Nigeria.

Stop the ignorant talk, nobody is giving Ghana 24 hrs light. Ghana has serious blackout issues including water, I don’t know why you people just come online to rant ignorantly. Btw there are lots of places with 24 hours light in Nigeria and 24 hours light or almost including Magodo, Omole phase 1, Ukeria, Abraham Adesanya etc

Nobody is stopping other governors from implementing this as a standard in their cities.

@ppudoka If you want 24hours power supply you can visit the Nepa and let them know you want to be on Band A in your area, the issue there is that you must be ready to pay a huge amount of Nepa Bill every months sir.

The President is already building our electricity supply capacity from 4000MW to 25000MW- more than six times the original capacity which is expected to be completed in four years . People like you only listen to disgruntled politicians and irresponsible journalists and media analysts who have been misinforming and painting gloomy pictures of the country before people like you.

A city powered by a generator is not stable. Aside from the fact that it is more costly. 😂

Sometimes I feel like the government purposely do not want Nigerians to enjoy stable electricity. If a small city like this can provide electric for it self then what is stopping Nigeria that has more money

@@Martins-o9j The President is currently building our distribution capacity from 4000MW to 25000MW and generating capacity to more than 30,000MW. Whenever the President talks about what he is doing and the length of time it would take to get there, the irresponsible journalists and analysts in the media just focus on the problems and discuss only that everyday, thereby painting a gloomy picture of the future before people like you who also does not listen to the President.

Don't underestimate the wickedness of man!! Don't underestimate the greed and avarice of men also!! The bigger truth is, Nigerian power supply should not (and doesn't have to) come from one national grid!! Already Bonny Island has a similar set up to what is being attempted in Eko Atlantic that gives the LNG hub in Rivers state 24/7 electricity!!! Goodluck Jonathan, when president affirmed that there was a lot of sabotage going on in the Niger Delta, with people carrying out malicious damage to the infrastructure that supports power generation to the national grid!! Then there's talk about people who import generators and petrol wanting to keep the "status quo" for their own ends! I would be in favour of regional grids based on the 6 geopolitical zones taking the place of the national grid!! In addition to Abuja and Lagos having their own infrastructure solely for themselves! That would mean some 8 separate regional grids located across the country! All Nigeria seemingly sharing from "one pot" makes no sense! The rising population and the surge in local manufacturing puts paid to that ! It is a matter of not having the right vision, and politicising the power situation, rather than government not wanting the people to have electricity! Where there's a Will, There is (must be) a way!! 👊🏾🇳🇬👊🏾🇳🇬!!

@@Martins-o9j The media people were supporters of Peter Obi. So, whenever the President announced his short term and long term plans, they ignore the long term solutions and focus their discus on the short term solutions which are not the real solutions. The irresponsible people in the media have been doing this repeatedly.

@@Martins-o9j Also, just three weeks after the President announced that the governors have donated 50 million hectares of lands for the Federal Government Agriculture program and billions of dollars spent on the importation of tractors and other farming implements and inputs, the media refused to talk about it and instead focus on hunger protests as if it is protests that will farm the lands and put food on the table for Nigerians. Even in the President's speech to the protesters in which he asked for patience because it would take some time for the farming equipments to arrive, the irresponsible journalists in the media acted as if the President did not say anything. It is up to you to personally take interest in what is happening in your country instead of waiting for the irresponsible journalists and media analysts out there to misinform and mislead you. Nigeria may be going through a tough time now, it is only temporary based on the actual developments that the media don't want to report.
