I don't believe the hardware on the ps5 are overclockable. This is more about the enthusiast and cosmetic than performance gains. As one that has built multiple pcs with exclusively ek parts for nearly the past 10 years, this ps5 kit won't come cheap. So this is more than likely only for the ultra enthusiast.

​@@JJ-gk5tn If anything the only thing this does is keeps the PS5's thermals much cooler than the stock Air Cooling, it would probably fix overheating in extremely hot climates but that's a very rare use case for a PS5.

One of these days I'm going to do a custom loop. Not because I need it, but because I want to tinker and build something unique. Until then, I'm glad EK has AIOs. My experience with the company has been stellar so far. The voice over was a bit weird, but I don't dislike it. I was expecting some cutaway "QUANTUM X" shoutouts, which are also weird but they've grown on me. Anyway, keep up the good work, the videos are great.

Well done guys, that was really impressive seeing everything from the design of the block to the final assembly! Looking pristine, and absolutely unique! I'm not a console player at all myself, just really appreciating the work and final looks of a very impressive build. That said, eager to see the upcoming project, I think I heard tiny tiny PC... Anything related to SFF I'm very curious to see! And it turns out I'm thinking of building a case from scratch soon for a tiny PC running the latest 4060 Low Profile maybe.

for cable management reasons, it's a shame the power supply spot wasn't rotated 90 degrees so the wires could come straight out instead of making the angle with the cables themselves. There is definitely a way to re-engineer the case to better accommodate the parts/wires in a revise imo.

Fan speed switch, RGB control and HDMI passthrough plug should be on a PCB in a i/o shield formfactor, oh and where is the drain port

Our fan/pump speed switch was reachable and genuinely only needed to be set once, RGB controller had a remote rather than physical buttons and annoyingly our HDMI pass-through didn't work at the same time as the right angle HDMI adapter we needed to fit into the motherboard. We also had ethernet on a little PCIe shield just like you described. So we did think of all that convenient stuff but we couldn't find a panel mount HDMI pass through with a right angle male connector in time. We compromised and had the HDMI cable permanently plugged in rather than messing with the layout.

We can definitely appreciate why that would be nice from a content perspective, however we don't want to 'review' our own products or set any expectations that may not be achieved in different configurations or environments. Especially because like you say IT IS a cooling product and it's also a prototype. As always we will try to support any independent media or influencers who have genuine interest in taking a more objective look at it.

Our first and second consoles were both disk editions. While we never intended to have the disk drive installed we later discovered that it was actually necessary to perform updates so we modified our prototype block so that we could just plug it in temporarily. We didn't want to mount it but it would definitely be a cool mod to have it remote. Hopefully the community has some solutions and ideas for that problem, but the most convenient way is to run a digital edition with extra storage.

We did do it but it wasn't in the final build. We had a 3d printed plate for the original PCIe IO slots for HDMI and ethernet with panel mount connectors. The ethernet worked great but the HDMI had issues because it essentially had two adapters. The right angle part on the motherboard and then the panel mount part. When we took either adapter out it worked fine so we kept the right angle part since it was necessary for this layout. Ethernet could easily have gone back but we just didn't need it.

So first of all, this is quite an impressive project. I would have liked that for the PS4 Pro. I own the first generation PS5 and unfortunately it is not compatible. It also has no thermal problems and is very quiet. In order to implement the project, I would easily have to raise EUR 2,000 for all the parts, including a new PS5. Given the price, I also expect the full package, the expandability of the storage with an SSD and the usability of the optical drive. Would the SSD fit if the antenna was placed somewhere else? I would rather replace the antennas with external antennas.

Top job. But somehow I didn't think it through. Why not continue to use the PS5 power supply when converted to get sleep etc? Then install an SFF power supply for the LED lighting, pump and fan. Controlled by an Aquacomputer Octo and inking unit. Small and fine. And there is no need to intervene on the power cable. You make a water block but you neither show nor offer the necessary interventions on the cables, which would be useful in order to exclude sources of error. In order to get the problem with the pump and fan under control, you actually only need a relay when you switch on the PS5 power supply, which then closes the bridge on the ATX power supply in parallel. Then these components would be guaranteed to start when the PS5 is switched on. If it goes to sleep again, the bridge opens again and the ATX power supply is switched off. Are electronics that heavy? Given your sales behavior that you are launching such a project, I will not consider processing my pre-order back. Either you make the todo steps comprehensible or bury your project. This is not entirely understandable for ordinary citizens. Especially since that costs a lot of money. I actually like your products. But that doesn't work here!!!

I'm still waiting for you to release the case you designed and showcased last year I think it was with the 3 radiators that slot into the back of the case in series and you had channels routed into the aluminium for the cables to flow through. I can't even find the video with the case to reference for you but I've asked on a number of ocaasions about it and never seem to get answer. I really want one and if you're not going to release it then I want to know if there is any way I can get a prototype test piece?

Ps5 has suffered with overheating issues first generation on some games. They had to use Liquid Metal to dissipate the heat more efficiently so this is more of a candidate than Xbox series x (that box has much better case)

The original Xbox had massive case but used passive cooling and was only 700mhz cpu Celeron which is why they last forever. It’s boring to not do these kinds of things so I’m all for it!
