Sorry you had a difficult day. This was one of my best days. Cruz de Ferro was special. Living in Phoenix, I am used to rocky downhills, so actually loved that part. My day, unlike yours, was very dry, so no mud. Loving your videos.

The climb to Foncebadon and then descent to Molinaseca were some of the most rugged and challenging terrains I experienced on the camino, but it was a dry few days. No mud or rain like you experienced. Brave souls you are, the descent into Molinaseca was the most difficult and treacherous I had done up to that point and you both did it in the worst of conditions. Bravo. Hope you had a special moment at the Cruz de Fero.

Yeah I don’t need to experience that stretch again. It was so rainy windy and cold when we were at Cruz de Faro we didn’t spend any time there 😩

When you're back home, you better buy Mrs. Reck a big present to say thank you for those socks she put on for you 😄. It must have been awful walking that stretch of road in the rain ... we were lucky when we walked there, it was cold, but at least the sun was shining! Haha, you cannot trust a fart - so funny! All is well when you still have some humor in you 😅. Did you miss the Cruz de Ferro (or was the weather too terrible to do a video)?

You should try to stay at the Parador de Santiago once you have completed your Camino. It is located on the square of the cathedral. It is amazing and you'll love it.

I understand your frustration. It took 36 hours to get to Spain. When we walked the Camino in Oct-Nov, it rained everyday. My hair was wet for 10 days straight. The only sunny day was when we walked into Santiago. It was the most amazing experience. We’re heading back in 2025. You can do it. Buen Camino.

If you all need a great hot meal and Camino love energy, if you can stay in the small town of Trabadelo, there is an alburgue there called Casa Susi. Susi and her husband Fermin are AHHMAZING!! It is shared living, BUT 100% worth the stay. She remodeled it beautifully; its small, its clean, its warm, the food is fantastic (farm to table) and a hearty breakfast is included to power you up the next days climb.

I walked May 18 to June 28 last year and judging by the trail conditions and weather you're walking through i'am glad I did. Only walked in rain 3 days out of 32, t-shirt and shorts most days and I did not have to walk in the blazing summer heat of July and August. Going to walk May-June again this year. Buen Camino you're getting close to Santiago. Also I stayed in Foncebadon, it was great.

Wow those are touch conditions to be walking the Camino. The walk downhill into Molinaseca is the worst. Lots of injuries on that section. I have heard that some folks elect to walk the road a couple of kilometers after Cruse de Ferro at Acebo. Think back to the early days when you guys could wear shorts.
