So there is no natural way to get stream alerts using this method, good news is that theres a workaround for it. In OBS, under “advanced audio properties” in the mixer section, you do have to make sure that you set monitoring to on on whatever source you’re using to hear the alerts. This is how your stream will hear it and so will you cause it will monitor that output back to you. As far as chatlink cable, you only need this is if you plan to include party/game chat in your stream. Otherwise, no

Bitstream Dolby does not exist anymore, we now have Dolby Audio as the "right" choice. However, this is now blocking audio from being recorded as all Elgato capture cards only supports Linear PCM 2.0 CH (that's right, all next gen capture card are forcing you to play on your Astro A40 as if you had a 10 bucks headset that plays in stereo, thanks Elgato! ) I have been searching for a solutions for weeks at this point and still nothing.

For my experience playing cod heavily, I have yet to notice any delay when EVERYTHING is done correctly. You may need to do some offhand tweaks to your OBS settings to make it work for your setup.

I currently do not own Astro A50s at the moment. I’m sure there are similar guides to this setup with A50s instead. But yes, at the time I was using two different microphones. I was using the astro’s mic stick for game chat and then an external mic for livestream.

Hi General_Sea! It seems like Sony has not yet confirmed that all peripherals are compatible with the PS5. Since i’m not too familiar with K&M setups for consoles, here’s what I can tell you. They seem to support Logitech products since that’s what alot of reviewers are using, if you are trying to keep the setup from this video, you WILL need a really good USB 3.2 hub in order to make sure you have enough ports for the peripherals AND all the streaming equipment to work. You should also look into adapters for the PS5 designed for K&M. Hope I helped!

If there is delay then that would be from the outdated HD60, but if theres no display at all then I don't think its the HD60 causing the issue. Its known to have no signal issues come up all the time with the PS5, due to so many inputs and outputs affecting the speed of the throughput. I would 100% check to see if its a faulty aux cord. The one that goes from the HD60 S to the back of the Mixamp. If trying a different cable doesnt work, i would definitely check in game settings next.

Did you have any issues with certain audio in-game with COD? I’m running the same way less the AUX from the Elgato to the Mixamp. I get party audio in-stream and my headset mic works for party chat, but I use a USB mic connected to my PC for my voice capture within SLOBS. For some reason I can’t hear the COD Caster or any sounds directly in front of me...I’ve purchased an AUX cable to to try and run things this way to see if that remedies the issue.

@@Papi_Flan I’m using the AGPTek splitter but ordered the Astro splitter in tandem with the AUX cable today so once I receive them tomorrow I’ll be able to quick swap and troubleshoot. Hopefully that fixes the problem. Your video is definitely the only one I’ve seen after watching SEVERAL that has explained things as thorough as possible. The lack of transparency and information from Sony, Elgato and Astro is nuts to me but I hope trying what you’ve provided solves the problem!

What i can tell you for sure is that if these settings dont work for you, i highly suggest you start from this point on and troubleshoot your way into what works best for you. I actually had to troubleshoot my setup from watching someone elses videos.

Adding OBS to your streams just allow you to have more control, so because the footage is being transmitted through a bunch of wires and software, naturally it differ than from the console. Just preference and convenience at that point to be honest.

There will be times where your monitor not recognizing right away. It's due to the fact that there are more paths of input and output compared to the setting up with past-gen consoles. I go through this issue sometimes. My only solid fix so far is to leave the console on and keep inserting/unplugging the elgato cable that is plugged into your pc over and over until it goes through. It's not promised you'll get it on the first try, just keep fiddling with it. Maybe when Sony drops a PS5 Pro, they will include the optical port hopefully. Hope this helps!

This might sound really dumb, but is your mic cable from your headset switched to muted?

So the LED lights arent smart lights, they function off of 2 things, power and mute switches. Once the headsets receive power, they will either be red or white depending on if your headset is connected, but if the cable coming from your headset to the front of your mixamp is muted, it will stay red. Only then that it’ll glow white once you click it to unmuted

The workaround is to turn on your audio source’s monitor output in OBS. So like in the advanced audio properties, you’ll see “monitor off/on” just do it for whatever you want to hear from your pc. Aside from that, theres no real way to naturally do it

This is common, unfortunately. You’ll just have to be patient and just do the power off, restart, unplug, and plug cycle until the black screen goes away. Not sure what exactly causes this to happen.

The only aftermarket piece i can think of was the aux cable that i used to serve as the chat-link cable for this setup. Everything else was provided with the rest of the equipment. You might need another hdmi as well if you dont have extras laying around cause the adapter only brings one but requires 2 and the elgato requires 2.

The only thing I can think of is possibly a hardware issue, like one of the cables isn't too well for the elgato because the requirements are pretty strict to have a clean setup with the cables.

The way I configured that for me was by setting it to “monitor output” for the alerts in the audio mixer. Thats so your viewers can hear and then you can hear it as well.

Unfortunately not, this setup requires your astros to be plugged into your mixamp. It would not to be connected to your PC directly for that to happen. I’m sure it isnt inpossible but I just havent tried it or did any research on it yet.

So for this setup, you don't actually use the chat link cable. Thats what the mixamp is for, the mixamp captures your chat audio as well as the game audio. That chat link cable would be used in this setup if you weren't going to use the mixamp, but that would make more complications because you need the mixamp's optical port.

With how everything is wired for this setup, you cannot adjust 3D audio. In my opinion, the astros do well without it anyway, obviously 3D audio is better.

You can use any aux cord, mine is pretty generic, nothing special about it

@@sparrow7434 you can probably narrow that down to your console’s volume settings or your game’s audio settings. If it all worked and you hear something then I dont think its the setup then, hope that helps. Also check your mixamp dials too, you might not hear them well but your recordings/streams can hear it possibly

This is very common, you just have to keep unplugging and replugging the cables on the hd60 until it likes you.

You'd have to set your PC's audio to a different output source because your Astros are occupied by the mixamp. For example, if your monitor has speakers then your PC audio would need to come out of there in order to hear it when it comes to console streaming. It's a lot simpler on the PC end of gaming.

When I do this everything works on the “Game Capture Card HD” but when I try to use “StreamLabs OBS” I can’t find my elgato. I’ve unplugged and restarted everything.

Everything working on the card is a good sign, most people have problems getting there. OBS is a whole nother realm of troubleshooting. Feel free to drop your discord and i’ll be happy to help you!

Its not the display device that requires an optical port, its the PS5 that requires it.
