If only more people would take Wilms advice regarding tire pressures and driving style, there would be a whole lot less problems on out back roads. Another interesting video, thanks.

Always a pleasure Mr Turner. Just putting together some heavy duty 3D effects for episode 10 which should be done in a bit over a week. The post production for this series has taken me about a year and a half. Shame I don't get paid for it. Do you still have your 5D?

What a treat. Another F&W dekko at the dusty drives of the deep north. And underwater shots to boot. I love the bird shots too. You know, you guys are getting pretty professional at this caper.

You guys would be shocked to go back now the locals are burning ever more busy every year but they have discovered you can make Money by burning just burn thousands of acres every year and then claim carbon credits for the regrowth it gets even better you can then sell those carbon credits oops I mean carbon offsets to large corporations it would break your heart to see the damage being done now

Fantastic series of videos, just watched them all this weekend. We don't have anything like the terrain up here in the UK and we don't have any off road driving like what is available to you, well we don't have much sunshine either. Looking forward to the next vid as your camera work, sound, narration and not to mention your humour are fantastic. Keep it up and thanks for sharing.

Have you considered doing a few episodes on the south west of WA ??
@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures
@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures 7 жыл бұрын
While we were living in Freo there were intentions on doing a lot of SW trips but I was doing 12 hr shifts with a trucking company to save for Western walkabout so it was nothing but work and sleep for several years. Now we've relocated to the states so it's even further out of reach. My Landy is still there so next visit home we'll see what's in store though I do have my eye on the Anne beadell hwy through the Victorian desert to Coober pedy.

Another excellent instalment! Looking forward to seeing the next, though unfortunately last in this series. I've always enjoyed your honest approach to your journeys, particularly the more touristy sites in that you tell it like it is as far how crowded they can get. Cheers, Mark

Another awesome video. What drone are you using?
@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures
@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures 7 жыл бұрын
Greetings Chevy. The drone is a very dirty DJI phantom 2 with a gimbal to carry a GoPro. The system that facilitates a video link to a monitor is terrible and over time is now useless, so we pretty much have to fly blind and hope we get good shots. One day we'll upgrade to the Mavic pro. Its convenience and portability might outweigh the advantages of the phantom 4 pro's better camera. That at least is the plan.

Wilms and myself had a giggle when you asked if we'd had any troubles with the Landy. Where to even start? In fairness to the vehicle it has had a tough life. A second hand telecommunications bush truck bought at an auction, it lived outside for over 6 years while I was walkabout in Africa. After the WA trip it is a little battered with both tie rod and drag links being shot and 5th gear has had something go bad, I think a bearing has died. We're in the States now so it's back outside in the elements. I do really like the Defenders and the TD5 engine. Its a tough truck and has held up well on some rugged trips.

Foreman and Wilms Adventures I was surprised to see u towing your large van with the TD5 defender.... I would have thought it would have struggled, especially up any sort on incline. 😉
@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures
@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures 7 жыл бұрын
Rob McDowall it did struggle. Definitely not the best idea but it did it. We stayed in 4th and travelled along at about 85km hr. we had been living in the van for 3 yrs and decided to take it with us but in hindsight we should have left it for sale and gone without it. They are a nice base to come home to but very restrictive and another thing to worry about.

Lower tire pressure means more forgiving soft sidewalls. The quad bike art seen from the lookout was there for us to see as well.

You come across as bird watchers, nature lovers. I am interested to know if you research the animals after filming or you have the knowledge already?
@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures
@ForemanAndWilmsAdventures 7 жыл бұрын
Greetings Jimmy. We are indeed quite enthusiastic on the wildlife. As for your question, we do both. I was a tour guide for many years and already have a reasonable knowledge on the Australian bush but far from knowing it all we still have to research in post production as well as cross check what we're saying. We do try to stick to basics as the natural world is a very complex subject. Cheers.
