El Salvador were victorious, 5-0, versus Honduras at the Jorge "Magico" González Stadium in San Salvador, El Salvador.
Danya Gutierrez opened the scoring in the 12' with a right-footed hit at the far post. Danielle Fuentes started the play with a recovery on the left flank and found Brenda Ceren, who then provided the assist across goal.
Lesbia Puerto of Honduras tried to get one back in the 17', but her long-range attempt was secured by El Salvador goalkeeper Idalia Serrano.
Danielle Fuentes extended the lead in the 25' with a calm definition inside the box. The assist over the top came from Victoria Sanchez.
Kendra Haylock nearly cut the deficit in the 45', but Serrano put a hand to it and the top post did the rest as Honduras was denied again.
Fuentes completed a brace in the 57' with a lethal shot from outside the box. Samaria Gomez started the play by stripping a defender and Ceren provided the last pass to Fuentes.
Gomez then got on the board herself in the 61' with a push over the line from close-range. The counterattack stemmed from a well-defended corner kick on the other end just moments prior.
Yoselyn Lopez added a fifth in the 88' by putting the finishing touch on a corner kick opportunity. Victoria Sanchez got the header on the service from Andrea Amaya but was blocked by Johana Espinal, as Lopez pounced on the second opportunity.
