1 cup rice. 2 full cups of water. Use the same cup to measure rice and water.

Thank you so much. My mother in law is from El Salvador and I've tried making it like her, but it would never taste the same. I didn't know that she used Jasmine rice.

Your mother in law might probably use parboiled rice like the brand Golden Canilla. I buy jasmine rice because it comes in 25 pound bags😆 but it works, it's just a bit more aromatic. Good luck to you, hope you make your suegra proud.
