Mexican Rice 👉🏼 • The PERFECT Restaurant...
Tip!!! Make sure your rice is dry before cooking, rinse it at least 30 minutes before cooking
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup white rice my fave Mahatma Rice Enriched Extra Long Grain
3 cups water or chicken broth
1/2 small white onion chopped
1/2 chile serrano chopped
1 minced garlic clove
2 tbsp oil
1 tbsp butter
2 tsp chicken bouillon
1 1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 serving of love 💕

Thank you Claudia for this recipe. I never knew about it until we had a caretaker for my mother and she used to make her meals and made this rice for her. She would make extra for us since we told her it was very good. Also I hope you don't mind me being petty making this comment but I love that you said "add" your ingredients instead of "throw" because I actually picture some throwing around when you say that. I like the way "add" sounds much better. If it makes you feel better, you are teaching this old lady (I am 64) a lot of good recipes that I didn't learn from my mother so thank you for that.

Alot.of ppl say that, but most of the time I end up opening the lid and mixing rice so it won't get stuck to bottom . Nothing ever happens to it. It comes perfect

Thanks you once again for another great recipe. I had to let my sit a lot longer than 15 minutes...more like 40 lol. Probably had something to do with the pan size, idk, I've always struggled with rice. Great flavor though!

At first I was worried because I added the chicken bouillon but didn't see it had tomatoe till it was already in the pot but I added very little and the result was still delicious and it was NOT red! 😂. I am one of those people who cant let the pot sit without opening the lid. Ive decided to check the rice while there's still a tiny bit of water in the pot. Let the steam build up again then take it off the heat to let it sit. I just cant trust myself or the process. Im always afraid ill burn the rice. Lol. It turns out ok but i imagine what im missing by cheating myself every dingle time i guiltily open the lid. Ive got isdues. Love your channel. It is my go to channel for comida mexicana. Great recipe!! I made this as a side to another recipe. Liquid and rice amounts will depend on the type of rice you use. For example, we always eat Asian rice, so I know I needed 3 "asian cups" for 3 cups of liquid. For the liquid, I did half water and half chicken broth. It was very good! Thanks!
