Adam using the famous technique of "I can't do the 9B+... right. Let's climb a 9C then" is the epic version of me struggling on a 6a and therefore trying a 6B :')
@donalddarko36763 жыл бұрын
its because 9s are even more made up than any other grades as less people have done them
@earlgrey21303 жыл бұрын
Yeah, but routes are more than their grade. I've climbed a couple 7a's that felt easier than some 6b's i've climed. Simply because i am great at slopers and technical climbing, but i can't crimp for shit. Others might have done those 6b's easily, but felt that the 7a's are impossible. What i'm saying is that routes are their own individual challenge. Just because Adam struggles on an 9b+ doesn't mean he can't do another 9c (or whatever the route will be graded as).
@lucaa44802 жыл бұрын

I love these kinds of videos! Most climbing videos end with our protagonists climbing the route. However, it's wonderful to see videos that show us a glimpse of what the future of climbing has to offer. More like this please :) I would love to see Adam introduce the V17 or a 5.16a routes he has encountered.
@Guado0113 жыл бұрын
@Knowles I've seen a few pro climbers mention futuristic lines and projects that they have encountered that could be potentially that hard! Adam mentioned a few in the Tommy Caldwell-Adam Ondra interview: kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4qmh4ampaytZ8U In that same interview, Tommy talks about a variation to the Dawn Wall, he called 'King Line Dawn Wall'. That could be ever more mega! kzbin.info/www/bejne/f4qmh4ampaytZ8U There's a lot out there for all of us to dream about! It would be nice to see more videos about them. I guess they're saving it.
