El Triste The Sad One (Non word-by-word translation) 1 Que triste fue decirnos adios How sad it was saying goodbye 2 Cuando nos adorábamos más Just when we were deeply in love 3 Hasta la golondrina emigró presagiando el final The woodswallow took of as a sign of the end 4 Que triste luce todo sin ti How sad the world looks now that you're gone 5 Los mares de las playas se van No seas by the shores 6 Se tiñen los colores de gris Colors have faded to gray 7 Hoy todo es soledad And lonelyness is all I've got left 8 No sé si vuelva verte después I don't know if I'll see you again 9 No sé que de mi vida será Or what's going to happen with my life 10 Sin el lucero azul de tu ser Now that I don't have you, my blue star 11 Que no me alumbra ya To shine on me anymore 12 Hoy quiero saborear mi dolor Just let me taste my pain 13 No pido compasión ni piedad Spare me your compassion or pity 14 La historia de este amor se escribió para la eternidad Our love story was meant for eternity 15 Que triste todos dicen que soy How sad (lame, hopeless) people say I am 16 Que siempre estoy hablando de ti Because I'm always talking about you 17 No saben que pensando en tu amor, en tu amor They just don't know that by thinking of your love, of your love 18 He podido ayudarme a vivir I've been able to help myself live on (x2 first time, x3 second time). -Music break- *Repeats from 12 through 18.

El triste is considered one of the hardest songs, It is difficult and very demanding since that song is like a roller coaster, it goes up, it goes down, it goes up again, it goes up and goes down again and then goes up. You have to have a wide vocal range and the ability to hold high notes for a moment to suddenly lower the pitch and raise and sustain the high note with more power and extensive management of the respiration.

The Sadman How sad it was to break away, When we loved each other so much, Even the swallow went Foreshadowing the end. How sad everything looks without you, the seas from coast have gone, The colours have become grey, Everything is loneliness now! I don't know if I'll ever see you again, I don't know what will happen with my life without the blue brightness of your being that no more is shining over me. Today I want to taste my pain! I'm not asking for compassion nor mercy! The story of this love was written to be eternal. "How sad" , everyone says I am, That I'm always talking about you But they don't know that thinking in your love, in your love I've been able to help me live I've been able to help me live! I hope you love this beautiful and sad lyrics as I do. In Spanish it has a poetic beauty that is lost in the translation but you listen how master José José delivered putting all his heart on it.

This was the song representing Mexico in the Oti Festival which is like Eurovision. From that Festivals many superstars emerged. After that contest, Jose Jose became a Latin superstar. Always proud of his culture He was extremely successful. Right now Jose Jose is in a very delicate State his health is deteriorating fast.Due to his lifestyle, he lost his incredible voice at least a decade ago. And he is now battling Pancreatic Cancer. Sadly there is no cure for that type of Cancer. Never the less he will always be remembered as one of the great voices of Mexico and a Latin superstar.

MAN, I love what you're doing. Music trascends cultures. I've been discovering a lot of music of Latin American culture and I've developed a refreshed, renewed vision of what my own culture is. It feels like I've been able to see beyond geopolitical and ideological borders that separate one and other and started to see more deeply how similar we are, how we perceive and interpret emotion (fear, pain, happiness, joy, nostalgia) through art. Music carries a piece of history along. You can connect the knots and piece things together and realize how we're truly related with each other as people, as human beings. It's kinda funny to find an english-speaking, young man listening and reacting to our history. Specially with all the bad things going on in the world right now. It feels like we're stablishing connection through the voices of our culture. Thank you for this relieving experience. Greetings from Venezuela!

hello. the song itself, the message in the song written by Roberto Cantoral was meant for his mother. She passed away and according to a story told by Cantoral's son; he wrote down what his father told him to write. Cantoral's sadness by the loss of his mother was the reason of this beautiful sad love song. This is my favorite sad song as well. Reminds me of my loving mother. She passed away 6 years ago. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings about our mexican talented artist KingNABi the GREAT!

"The Sad one" How sad it was to say goodbye, When we adored each other so much, Even the swallow migrated Foreshadowing the end. How sad everything is without you, The beach has no sea, The colors turn gray, Everything is loneliness now. I don't know If I'll see you once again, I don't know what will become of my life without the light of your being, that doesn't shed light on me anymore. Today I want to savor my pain, I don't ask for compassion nor pity This love story was written to be eternal "What a sad one", everyone says of me, That I'm always speaking of you But they don't know that by thinking of your love, of your love, I am able to help myself go on, to help myself live. Today I want to savor my pain, I don't ask for compassion nor pity This love story was written to be eternal "What a sad one", everyone says of me, That I'm always speaking of you But they don't know that by thinking of your love, of your love, I am able to help myself go on, to help myself live.

This is wrong. You translated things using spanish grammatical rules. On top of that, you translated individual words and phrases wrong. People who dont speak spanish could get an idea of what the song is about, but nothing beyond that. This translation is far form doing justice to the original lyrics. Good intentions tho.

Cesar Davila Ulloa nice job even though not a perfect translation. I have to point one thing out because I’ve noticed others have made the same mistake. “Saborear” translates to “savor” and not “taste”. So the lyrics are closer to “today I want to savor my pain”. That changes the meaning.

Jose Jose used to have one of the best voices in all the world., better than Luis Miguel or many others. however unfortunatelly his decisions were not always the best for himself. but the history is there, and it says he was great.

Adriana Lilly Sosa Flores Im Mexican, an its not better than Luis Miguel, in deed, in México José jose's music is used to drunk. Its cheap music for drunks and prostitutes. Luis Miguel is far better, with class and elegance.

JR Zarazua hahahahaha, you really made me laugh. Although, youre not correct, José José is not drunken people music, it doesnt matter the purpose of the music. José José sings far better than Luis Miguel. And thats a fact.

Is a song of love and pain. The songwriter Roberto Cantoral wrote this song after the loss of his mother. I tried to translate the lyrics, if I am wrong please correct me. (Thanks google translator) Lyrics: How sad it was to say goodbye When we loved each other more Even the swallow emigrated Presaging the end How sad everything looks without you The seas of the beaches are gone The colors of gray are dyed Today everything is loneliness I do not know, if I see you again later I do not know what of my life will be Without the blue star of your being That does not illuminate me anymore Today I want to taste my pain I do not ask for compassion or mercy The story of this love was written for eternity How sad, everyone says I'm That I'm always talking about you They do not know that thinking about your love, your love I have been able to help me live I have been able to help me live
