Hi Austin, keep going, your generation need the advice you're broadcasting. I'm slightly (😉) older than you, but it's nice to see a young man with 'old financial ideals', so many of the younger generation fall for Social Media 'get rich quick' videos, or lavish 'keep up with the Joneses' live stylishly crap....They become Slaves to money, instead of being it's Master...🤓

You have a great channel. I'm predicting right now that your channel will blow up. Your message is so refreshing, humble yet full of wisdom. It's not just full of tips for being frugal. Tips are great but your message goes further, politely questioning the culture of consumerism and how it robs you of your real life, the life that truly matters. Thank you for the inspiration! My generation believed in work hard and sacrifice until you are 65 then retire and enjoy life. I followed that program until a few years ago when I realized that the system is rigged so 30 years of sacrifices are wiped away by a single illness or accident by a healthcare system designed to fleece you should you ever need to use it. Ever since my awakening, I don't work like that anymore. I spend more time doing the things that I enjoy NOW not waiting to turn 65.

I've been living like this since 18 and I'm 31 now. Everyone has always looked at me so weirdly. It's been really hard to find community especially since I'm a woman. I've had amazing life experiences however it's really hard to go against the grain sometimes.

Austin's videos are very positive, he's trying to teach the younger generation how to live like my generation had too....back in the day, if you couldn't afford something, in cash, you did without it. Credit and Consumerism are your biggest enemies in today's world...plus Social Media, where you see, what appears to be, people so much better off than you are.... Don't fall into any of these 'Traps'. At the moment, due to Fuel prices & the 'Cost of Living Crisis'.... don't concern yourselves to much with trying to save money ! As Austin is explaining, live Frugally, just survive without getting into Financial Debt...the recession will pass and you will emerge at the other side in a better position. Hang in there everyone 😃

Hello Austin from Torquay in south west England. I am so glad I found your amazing channel and look forward to watching all your future KZbins. You speak so convincingly about what you believe and I could not agree more with you. Debt and stresses devalue human lives reducing it to continual working and worry as life passes you by as you continually strive to keep up. Life is to be enjoyed and by taking on board what you say and realising taking control of our lives and acting positively to live within our means is the way to a happier more fulfilled life. I don’t think anyone has said as they near death that they wish they had bought that filing cabinet with the extra drawer or the washing machine with 24 programmes, regretting that they didn’t take chances more often realising their dreams of travel, will never happen now. Material things will eventually wear away or be thrown out - memories are forever. Very best wishes to you and your followers.

Being an older person who was brought up in a live and make do culture of the time. Watching your videos it's really great to see that someone from the younger generation has their priorities right. In my opinion we are here for 2 reasons only to live a human life and to learn all we can of life. We are the only being here on planet Earth that have to pay with money to live here says a lot. Thank you Austin for showing me the way to life contentment

I totally agree with you, traveling and spending some time abroad are the best and most fun ways to expand your horizons quickly, especially at a young age. I started discovering the world at 19 like you. I was born in East Germany and finished school a few years after the wall had come down. The new sense of freedom and possibilities was overwhelming, and I wanted to go far, far away before starting university. I decided to go as an au pair to the US for a year and ended up with a Bible Belt family in - Atlanta. I remember sweet children and strange parents, the everyday racism shocked me. And I got sick because of the constant change between hot outdoors and super cold indoors. A very rewarding experience altogether though. Greetings from one of your fans from Germany!

Sorry..if this is not an accurate version of this 'poem' i read 5yrs. ago... but it's profound irony and graciousness grabbed my heart : ..." I have nothing...but i'm very thankful and grateful for this nothing that i have " (written by an anonymous female author in Europe..unkown circa) ....No matter the 'condition' surrounding or affecting this author, she had and 'owned' far more than most humans have--- she had a phenomenal, wonderful and priceless gift of *gratitude* . I've read this poem to some of my 'friends'..and..they thought the woman author must have been crazy or malnourished or ???. They didn't seem to realize that she had 'acquired' the greatest wealth a human can have in this life-- *Gratitude* . She was ultra-super-rich with appreciation!!!! If only every human could learn & practice thankfulness, we'd have far more happy people on earth. We'd also have far fewer people constantly trying to fill an empty hole inside them, with endless material possessions, while any 'emptiness' can only be filled/satisfied with a healthy balanced self-love..and a healthy generous compassionate love for all humans, all animals, all nature and our great planet Earth.❤👍🌝💯

Absolutely love the moustache! Your message comes thru well when you let your personality show. Keep going, no pressure but I love your videos and want to see them more often :)

This was probably one of my favorites of your videos. More of the real you came through unedited and more authentic! It was kind of like having you in my own house and listening to you. Love the message you are trying to communicate. I am in my early 50s still trying to figure out what I want to do "when I grow up". The 9-5 job idea is killing me and I am now trying to figure out my next best move. Your videos give me ideas, motivation and the encouragement I need to continue in this process. Thank you!

Right on! I always joke that I keep learning what I don't want to do, but I can never figure out what I want to do. Good luck on your journey, Andrew!

LOVE your videos! And you are very, very good with words. The way you turn words is a pleasure to hear. It was fun to watch this sort of 'unplugged' version of you as well as your more professionally orchestrated videos. Both are great! I hope to get our 24 year old son to watch some. I am a minimalist, and he is a maximalist. LOL! But thankfully he has learned good money management, a good work ethic, and frugality from us, his parents, so he is well on his way to being able to launch well, even though he has high functioning Aspergers and therefore still lives with us. Take care and enjoy the mountains! My husband and I both grew up going to Colorado every year on family vacations! :)

Hi, greetings from Slovakia. Did almost the same thing in my 20s and came to the same result. I found i could live on 3e/wk and did that during my time at the Uni. Now at 38 I am still very frugal a trying to teach minimalism to my 2 kids. Love ur content. 💗

Hi! Stay at home mom from Hawaii. Trying to balance prepping on an expensive island and frugality. Thank you for my new focus word: contentment Loving your videos and how you go against the grain. PS. Having kids is THE BEST though 😉

Diane, you are living in a great place to be content! We are wanting to move back to Oahu, but wowza, the price of housing has tripled or more since we left there. If we sold our paid for house here in Wisconsin, it would just be a down payment on a house there. But, we keep considering it, lol. Almost debt free again. Hopefully by the end of this year!
