Kudos to your interpretation and to Dr. Stephen Kemp's composition skills. Lovely and expressive. It is so great to hear a contemporary piece for the Harpsichord that does not sound like a lopsided garbage can filled with scrap metal and empty liquor bottles being kicked down hill during a wind storm or composed by sitting on the keyboard randomly.

I'm glad you like it! I find harpsichord sound relaxing also---as well as exciting. It depends on the piece of music
@AoWGamer7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it definetly does. But I think your harpsichord is more calming than mine. :)

Is there anywhere I could listen to a copy of the complete opus?
@ElaineComparone8 жыл бұрын
Yes, we'll be gradually uploading the entire thing. We've recorded it so now all that remains is for us to edit and upload. Both Kyle and I are busy, so I can't say when it will be done, but I hope to meet with him again next week. The pieces are all short, but they still manage to be rather complex. I'm as eager as you are (probably more so) to get the entire piece up here, so I promise not to delay. But you know how it is with holidays, and it's just a couple of weeks till Christmas!

This is in no way a criticism because baroque is music is gorgeous and so is the way you play the harpsichord is sublime but have you ever thought it would be an interesting idea to play contemporary music covers in the harpsichord.

There's a lot of interesting music around, and so little time to play it all! That's what it boils down to. Life is short and we do what we can. There are various reasons why one choses to play this or that piece. I like to play new music on the harpsichord if it sounds good and would be fun to learn.

That's true. Also you are really the only harpsichord payer on youtube, so you somewhat have a responsibility to educate the public on this beautiful instrument and Baroque music. I think you sound amazing and I wish for you to continue to play and film the harpsichord as long as you can
