We used to attend the American Indian Film Festival pow wows when they were in Oakland. We got to meet Elaine and her mom as they were both dance competitors. Elaine was actually pow wow princess the year she attended. She could have had quite a career in stand up as she is naturally very funny. I wish she was working currently as I miss seeing her on NE. What a wonderful show and the entire cast was fabulous!

Aww, the video stopped! That was a really good & interesting talk Elaine was giving about how she got the job on Northern Exposure, I was really impressed by it & wanted to hear the rest when it just stopped. Darn it. Oh well I heard some of it anyway.
