Margit is problaby the toughest first boss in any Souls game.

To be fair, he is truly a hard boss. Unless you play some filthy casual sorcerer build with summons. Otherwise, you have to learn his move set to beat him.

I had a similar experience in my first run fighting the Dragonbarrow Bell Bearing Hunter after finding out I could scale the wall near Sellia... pushed through learning to parry every move (except the shield bashes and tele-sword) and it was so exhilarating!

Castle Morne: From the main courtyard entrance, hug the right wall and go past the burning corpses with harpies surrounding them. You may aggro one or two along the way if you don't take them out. This path leads to the entrance to the building in the north. The sword can be found in a chest to the left just as you enter this building.

my pc just wasn't up to the job...had to refund!! The pre-order "you can play at 11pm UK time" was nothing but stress! Nothing happened until 11:10pm and then the game just started to download itself again...after a full pre load days before?!?! I restarted Steam and then, after 10 mins of freezing and nothing, it began to unpack. The unpacking was very slow and didn't finish until 12:15am!! The opening, indoor, area where you start the game ran fine but did drop a few frames to mid 50's but most of the time, indoors, I was getting 55 - 60FPS on High Settings. Outdoors was when it all came crashing down...frame rate all over the place and frame skips here and there. It ran almost identically on Low, Medium and High settings at 1080p. And I'll be honest, the start felt very bare and empty. I was thinking to myself "Dark Souls 3 looked better than this...Sekiro looked beautiful and ran like greased up butter on Day 1....why is Elden Ring struggling so much?!?" My PC is over 5 years old and my GTX 980TI just isn't man enough to get a smooth 60fps. Massive, massive shame BUT it gives me something to aim for and save. Think I'm gonna drop PC gaming again and go back to consoles. At least troubleshooting games won't haunt my life again for a while...hope you all had a better experience!! Here's hoping they move to a better game/graphics engine as I was only playing Death Stranding, The Outer Worlds and Control the last few months and they ran and looked awesome!! I'm not a fan of Direct X12 and I think if you have a high end, modern gaming PC then you'll probably brute force through most of the issues...

Sorry to hear that, keep in mind that CPU performance is more important in lower resolutions as well. Not sure what you are running but i feel like a 5 year old i7 and a gtx980ti should be able to run any new game on middle/low without issues. Reading some threads on Reddit there are a lot of issues for both high end and low end systems and it seems it's tied to dx12. So fairly sure it isn't just your pc that is old.

You can get it from a torrent site PLAZA and, CODEX last release with be elden ring so no more free games on pc 😭😢... Plus from lots my fellow pirates they say runs hell of lot better for some odd reason.

@@mosthated8848 thats because the anti cheat they use lags the game out. It runs way better offline with anticheat disabled, which is annoying considering I already encounter some cheaters ingame so the anticheat is useless

I actually find these animations mechanical and creepy i kinda like them. Although they get really repetetive after 3rd burial Watchdog boss fight ;/

That's really the point of the watchdog fight, their animation look weird because they're not natural at all, even in some of their item description it tell that the watchdogs have "broken down" after some times and that's probally why it's moves look so unnatural and weird, also they gave me the creeps

It's a 10/10 game, having some technical difficulties at launch doesn't make a game bad, those can be fixed which have been very quickly. I mean it won GOTY and it's also has most GOTY awards in history now.
