Oh girl...I can't even tell you how many times I've cried from mom stress alone. My kids are teenagers now and I still have to have a few minutes to get my bearings. You are doing great.

I've been following since before you got married and had a baby. I just want to say in your mommy moments it's ok to want space from your kid, to be frustrated and annoyed with them. Its natural and it doesnt make you a bad mom or a failure at parenthood. You're doing a great job and somedays just to sane and get a few moments to breathe is still progress. Dont be so hard on yourself and maybe consider placing her in a daycare once a week to give her some experience with being away from you. Keep doing a good job!! Xoxo

Prayers for you! The hard times really are the hardest of times where we as moms can feel so alone. Worship music gets us through the dark days, too. Teething is an insane time. My son recently got 8 teeth within a month (all four first molars and all four canines). There was no sleep for anyone in the house. Combined with growth spurts, leaps, regressions, a couple colds..... every day I would meditate the words “give me Jesus”, over and over and over. You got this mama!!! This community of moms online is incredible and you are not alone! We are going through it or have gone through it already... solidarity! 💗💗

I really appreciate that your showing those real moments of what it’s like being a mom. I’ve had those moments where it’s tough to keep your cool and all you want to do is break down. My son is only 4 months and it most definitely does not get easier, but it’s worth it. Being a mom is hard so props to you because your doing great. Thanks for keeping it real.

I’m watching this as my 12 week baby takes a nap. It’s my time to myself and I totally feel your pain. My son spent first 4 weeks crying (what felt like) 24/7, wouldn’t sleep at night or during the day and him being my second child, there were moments I would sit on the kitchen floor and just cry first thing in the morning. Things do get better with age. He’s now 12 weeks and has improved so much. Just keep telling yourself it’s only a phase, and things will get better. And most importantly you are not alone. As a mother we have all had those moments of “I can’t do this anymore”....joys of motherhood 🤪. All the best xoxo

Elanna, I very rarely comment on videos, and obviously I don't know you, but you are a wonderful mother handling rough times with grace. I have a 5 year old daughter and she has been a stubborn and feisty spirit since day 1. Parenting is truly a rollercoaster--sometimes it's minute to minute, just getting by, and sometimes it feels like the sweet moments couldn't last long enough. My unsolicited advice is remember to take care of you--it IS productive to take time to unwind. It's not laziness, it's all about absorbing the time to recharge and reset. It is ok to leave Olive in her crib/a safe space while you take a break. Remember, this too shall pass. Commend yourself for making it through each day 👐🏻 you got this Mama!

I love how you get on so well with your in laws, that makes life a lot easier! I have two little girls, and I get you completely. Motherhood is super tough- but it gets easier as time goes on and when I’m going through a rough phase, I try to actively work on enjoying my life as it is. There’s nothing I can change and I can’t speed time up, so I have to look for rays of sunshine through the clouds. Lots of love xx

My son went through that stage and it’s hard! He’s 1 and 1/2 now and he still gets like that from time to time if he wakes up from a nap. The best thing to do is what you’re doing. Just take a moment and also just let them cry it out. Being calm is so difficult but if you’re not, they will feed off of your frustration and emotion. 😊When they’re ready to be consoled, they’ll let you know. You’re a great mama 🥰

Being a parent is so amazing and lovely but its also the hardest job in the world. My 10 week old is already teething so we've been thrown into difficult days really early. Sometimes he does get “wild” but his my wild thing & im more confident to know that I’m a great mother and I know what I’m doing. My mom said I was like that when I was a baby, my grandma told her that she had to let me cry and not pick me up, she said I know it hurts to hear her cry but you need to let her cry out and eventually she will stop; because if not she’s not going to let you do anything and is going to become really dependent. Any time she’s just going to cry out because she knows you’ll pick her up. Just MO, I turned out great. But yea my mom said I would scream and screech when I was a baby and teething

My daughter was just the same at this age. After much despair, I got her an amber necklace. It literally saved my sanity. The moment I put it on her, she was instantly calmer. She wore it day and night until she started primary school at 5 years old.it is supposed to have properties that help with teething, and for us, it 100% took the edge off her screaming during teething . Small foam ear plugs --don't put them all the way in your ears because you don't want to block her out completely. BUT...it will at least muffle the screech ...I figured this out on my second child. It keeps you sane while your holding her or weening her off of stuff :)

Loved the vlog!!💝 it’s totally normal for babies her age to be like that with the screaming and being needy which you know of course. I nanny 5 girls between the ages of 2 years old and 7 months. I love them all very much, but one of my sweet babies I nanny is very needy and I can’t put her down without her crying. I even have to hold her for naps which makes me sore, lol. And she cries when I leave to use the bathroom. She needs to touch me at all times. All in all you’re not alone. I’m not a mom, just a college student, but I definitely feel like a mom sometimes. You’re fortunate you only have one baby right now. Just wait.... haha I’ve had my bad days for sure and almost been in tears from the stress. Teething is a monster for sure lol. You’re doing awesome!!! 😎 Thanks for sharing your journey parenting.

Fav youtuber 😊 girl,please understand that it's okay to feel frusterated with lil Olive. I got the feeling that you felt guilty about it and you shouldn't. I have two recommendations and I hope they come off the right way: 1) Olive is a little adult,a small human. She needs to be taught (trained all though I hate the way that sounds 😕) early on to be patient,to wait for her mom to finsih what she's in the middle of...she needs to be taught to be independent and that she won't always get her way. Will it be perfect? Of course not. Will she still be fussy? Of course. Even as adults we are still learning these qualities and pefecting them so it's no surprise if Olive is struggling with it at 1yrs old 🙂 2) Maybe you should get Olive to learn that you aren't always around? Like have her with interact with other kids with out you in the room or more stand offish or try to get her more used to you leaving the room and coming back. Being a youtuber or even a stay at home mom I'm sure it can make that more difficult to teach a child to be more independent and less clingy. ❤
@Poodlemama12345 жыл бұрын
Sladjana Nikolic Nonsense. You cannot force a child to be independent. It is only by being there every time they need you, that you teach them to trust, and it is this trust that you WILL be there for them that encourages independence. Also, babies and children are NOT mini adults. They have neither the cognitive nor emotional capabilities of adults. Treating them as mini adults is a recipe for disaster. Treating them appropriately for their age and stage of development is absolutely vital, as is seeing them as the individual they are and respecting their needs. Perhaps you can tell me what child development qualifications you have? I will then make sure to steer well clear.
@sladjananikolic5 жыл бұрын
@@Poodlemama1234 relax, nothing bad was meant. I meerly meant it might not hurt to start letting Olive try to learn to be on her own a bit. People are so nasty on here and so quick to argue. Sheesh. As for the mini adult comment. Every child will eventually grow up to be one so learning to be patient ie teaching her to be parient can start super earlt with baby steps. It was all but a suggestion. You can keep your negative and aggressive comments to your self. I'd also like to add that I in no way meant that a parent should NOT give their child attention. That would be ridiculous and unrealistic but at the same time I think it's important to recognize the difference of when your child neally needs to be held VS just crying to cry. Elanna mentioned not being able to make the bed or go to the bathroom without Olive seeking to be held and crying. I think that too is un realistic. I meant no disrespect. Thank you 😁

Don’t worry....there is considerable variance when babies walk....and the timing is not an indicator of coordination or intelligence. If toddlers are not walking at 20 months there is reason for concern and investigation . Enjoy the non walking stage....life becomes way more hectic once they are on their feet. 😀

When I'm having those difficult moments, I try to pray for God to provide me with what I'm needing so I can provide my family with what they're needing. Those moments grow us mothers, make us stronger, and help us to realize just how much we need God every second. We can't do it alone. Amen to the power of worship music!
