Elbah | Traditional Kuwaiti dessert | Kuwaiti Elba recipe
Elba is a traditional Kuwaiti pudding infused with saffron and cardamom.
1 cup=250ml
Ingredients:
Egg-6
Milk-3 cups
Condensed milk-1 cup
Thick cream-1/2 cup ( It can be replaced with 3 tablespoon of mil powder)
Saffron-1/2 teaspoon ( crush it lightly).
Cardamom powder-1/2 teaspoon.
Method:
Mix egg, cardamom, thick cream, condensed milk and full cream milk.
Strain and add into the baking pan.
Add saffron and mix.
Cover and Place the baking pan in a large pot filled with water ( 1/4th of the pan).
Cook covered over medium heat for about 40-45 minutes.
Cool completely and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

Using condensed milk. If you want more sweet increase the quantity of condensed milk or add sugar.
