Dragoncrest Greatshield (20% damage reduction for pve/5% for pvp), FAP+2 (aka Eldtree), Veil (invis while crouching) and Cairan (25% cheaper skills which tends to be far more than FP/mind stat boosts if you went in each stat to its high scaling point of 20-25) or for casters Radagons icon (saves 30 points of dex/need to hit only 40 rather than 70 to max cast speed) would be my picks.

You can get erdtree +2 after you do "the thing " with the erdtree and go back to leyndall after it "changes" go to the forbidden lands grace and return to leyndall that way, it'll be guarded by 3 tree spirits, the wyrm ones. Good luck

9:12 SPOILERS FOR AFTER CRUMBLING FARUM AZULA The +2 version of this thing can be found in the destroyed version of Leyndell after you complete Crumbling Farum Azula. It's in the eastern part of the city, the one you went through to get to the Forbidden Lands. You can get back there using the Eastern Altus Divine Tower site of grace. If you didn't unlock it, you should be able to take Rold's elevator back down from the entrance of said Forbidden Lands. Once you're back into the city, there's a sandy area with destroyed pillars that you can go into. On top of one of the pillars that you can climb on lies a corpse with the precious talisman. Beware though, as there're 3 of the powerful beasts that usually hold golden seeds guarding the area. These 3 don't give you anything upon defeat though, only a bunch of runes.

There were some early-game talismans that you missed. Bluefeathered branchsword is great for surviving hits that would otherwise kill you. If you're playing a squishy ranged character then redfeathered branchsword is fantastic for DPS purposes, it increases your AR by a whopping 20%. The crimson and cerulean dagger talismans are also good if you're fighting against slow mobs (like skellies or the sludge-like people), you can easily get up to full health and FP (skellies are even walking potions that potentially last forever).

Theirs a legendary Erdtrees Favor +2, need to beat Maliketh in order to change capital into the capital of Ash, then get back to to the city from the Forbidden Lands grace and you'll encounter 2 Erdtree worms but can go around them on the left side and it will be on top of a rock formation in the very back right side.

Should show the opposite Marika's Scarseal and soreseal. The Marika's Scarseal can be found in the underground Siofra river east of the spawn point " Aqueduct-Facing Cliffs" it's by the Dragonkin boss by a small waterfall. Hope it helps , the Scarseal is +3 to mind , int , faith and arcane while the soreseal is +5 to the same stats.

@@AAC1714 each one has a fighting style of their own. wether they focus on magic, melee, or a little bit of both. The terrain has many objects that you can hide behind to block projectiles. Wether people realize it or not a large amount of strategy is required to be good at almost every game out there and this one is no exception

Talisman are personal choice and style in my opinion. I use the scarab for runes (which is also a flex in rare cases for a boss), use the jar one for weight buff, the erdtree (normal) for buff of everything and 4th and favorite, the talisman that makes you silent. Best talisman in my opinion, especially when you want to just run past a certain part. If i know ill use the super on my beam sword (the one that has 2 specials, fire and magic. Beam or flame swipe. Forgot the name. Its the op sword everyone should have.) Ill use the extr fp talisman instead of my quieting talisman since thats my flex. (Boss wont care if you make noise or not, it'll still see you) Use what fits your style, not what everyone else uses because thats what everyone uses. Had to do pvp for the maidenless dude and encountered a 3vs1 (thats all there is anyhow) and they where all the same little magic bozos. I use 2 swords, the bloodhounds fang (the special is op af) and the other op sword with 2 specials on it. Those 3 magic bozos that all copied each other and everyone else, well they got wrecked. Was funny af tho. Couldn't tell who was what, they were all the same, 0 personality 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Theres an Erdtree Favor +2 Spawn at Forbidden Lands site of grace and backtrack to the capital city once in the capital ride the elevator down and you'll be looking at an open area with one of those Erdtree worm enemies. (can't remember name but there's 3) Either Kill them or run for the talisman that is behind the enemies on a log sticking out of the ashes Note: this is only after the capital is destroyed

Note about the jar talisman duel gauntlet: the invasions you get are random and change when you reload. Currently due to the scaling on arcane/bleed being insane the invaders that use katana are just rediculous in terms of hemorrhage triggers and can be very hard to beat. If you are having trouble with them just reload until you get 2-3 invaders using sword and shield/str weapons and the gauntlet will be MUCH easier.

I was getting 1-shot at level 150+ by one of these invaders, couldn't even get a swing in with 60 dex, 40 or 45 vigor. I thought I might have found my next Bethesda series replacement but nope... everything else has been a cakewalk besides 2 duel boss encounters and getting 1-shot even with +9 or maybe it was +10 shield at Jar spot. I'm going to give this a try and see if I can get a sane duel. The one that was 1-shotting wasn't using a katana, it looked sort of like a rapier. Oh nm I see this was posted 9 mths ago.

from experience if youre playing a mage, the FP on kill talisman is an absolute need, use it in caves and dungeons so u can make sure u have mana for the boss in the room, if youre doing a boss switch it out for sumn with more dmg

a bit surprised great shield talisman isn't in this list as it's a flat +10 guard boost at all times. On even the worst great shield unupgraded, you go from 51 to 61 guard boost passively, a 25% boost! Even more impressively the best great shield fully upgraded hits a massive 90 guard boost without the talisman meaning there's a way to always take no stamina damage without burning any resources beyond a talisman slot.

Quick tip killing the bats and then resting at the grace is a great way to make runes quickly, or a fast way to boost someone else up a couple levels, they also drop quite a few golden runes.

You miss two that straight up boost your defenses, one you can get by using an imbued key at the four towers that boost all magical defense, and another you get from the Haligrin tree that greatly boost all physical defense.

1:36 I do want to point out that although cotton does not show this part... The lower area is full of bats. Both the normal ones which you could probably kill fairly easily but there's also ones that use poison so your best bet if you want to get the talisman and get out is running for the ladder. I will also note that if you happen to get grabbed by the bats you will more then likely be killed instantly unless you have alot of health... I'm currently at level 90 and only have about 700-800 hp so those who put more in health could be ok but eh...

Instead of the ancestral horns, you can get a sacrificial axe from a death bird in weeping peninsula, and the thing is that per kill it also gives you fp, about 4 per kill within a certain range of you. Though this is only if you prefer trying to kill a field boss instead of getting barraged by arrows from the ancestral followers

For anyone trying to get the Erdtree Favor +1 or just trying to get to the boss and the ending item, I would suggest getting the "Crepus's Vial" from one of Volcano Manor quests, makes majority of the sewers a breeze. Just walk by most enemies, aside from those that are scripted like the troll jumping down from a ledge. Just run past it, and open the shortcut, if you don't attack anything the other trolls shouldn't aggro you. Hope this helps.

Talisman slots are awarded after beating shard bearers and there is a total of 4 talismans slots. You start with one, I got the second one from Godricks, the third from the Raya Lucaria shard bearer and the last one from the capital's first main boss.

A nice alternative (and early game) for Ancestrals Spirit Horn is the Sacrificial Axe dropped from the Deathbird located at night in Weeping Peninsula. sht weapon, but really useful offhand for its effect.

you have a debuff (the red square with a arrow pointing down which reduces your max hp by 5%) this is from the blessing you receive from that woman you can hug (sat on a bed) in the roundtable as long as you have the item in your inventory it will give you this debuff until you use the item (the item temporarily increases poise if I'm not mistaken)

I have mixed feeling about Radagon's soreseal. At low level it's very useful but passed a certain point the increased damage is hard to justify. if you have 40 vigor or more it's really not that great.

What I’ve seen in other videos is turning around completely and spamming the default dodge button with no other inputs. You’ll throw yourself back in a dodge and it’s much faster than just walking just costs stamina obviously

Instead of the taker's talisman just use a bloodsteal (or whatever its called) Ash of war for a sword or a fist/claw, it restores much much more HP. I use it on my third weapon for weak enemies rather than waste flasks.

Good luck getting the great jars arsenal. Those 3 summons are about impossible, and you can’t summon players or ashes. They also scale with your level, so,it doesn’t matter if you fight them later

You may already know this but the builds they use are made of other online players, so they tend to be really strong blood builds. If you start the game in offline mode it will be an easier fight as the builds the offline versions use is not as optimized as player builds.

If you do Alexander's quest(the jar warrior) u get a talisman that boosts skill dmg by almost 15%

I did his quest, fought the boss with him, and i never received that talisman...

I randomly discovered that the guy that you gave the sewing kit to early game has a continuation to his quest! After you burn... and get teleported, go back to the city wall where you last saw him. He will ask if he can call you lord now. After that give him a larval tear for him to use rennala's rebirth!

Don’t give him that tear he just dies, instead use prattling pate “you’re beautiful” to give him self confidence

This is probably the least straight to the point guide I've seen for elden ring so far. There's just so much filler... I'll go somewhere else so I actually find these talismans today.
