It's worthwhile doing Hyetta's questline as you get a 0 weight seal that has no requirements (perfect for buffs), a +8 banished knight halberd and the ability to stand in frenzyflame stones for healing.

I’m absolutely loving watching a PvP oriented player play PvE. I’m learning a lot. It would be insane if you did a casual let’s play where you messed around in PvE and tried new stuff and maybe go for a slower paced 100% play through and DLC. Either way keep the PvE/PvP combo coming!

37:46 For future reference or for anyone interested, in the gazebo thing just north of Academy Gate Town is a Waygate that plonks you right in front of the last map fragment of Liurnia, and very close to Iji too. So right at the start of coming to Liurnia you can grab the first map fragment, go to Laskyar Ruins/Purified Ruins to waygate to the front of the Academy, leave the Academy to get the map, golden seed and grace for Academy Gate Town and then ride just north to that gazebo to grab the last map and the grace by Iji. It takes less than 5 mins, gives you all 3 maps and some useful spawn points for reaching the rest of Liurnia quickly.

Getting the medallion is indeed the trigger for ensha to attack. Gideon wants the haligtree medallion (hence why he harrasses latenna and invades the albinauric village) so when you get part of it he sends his dude to get it from you

Since you aren't going to Altus yet: the ballista is in the Weeping Peninsula...and the bone ballista bolt cookbook is sold by the merchant next to Bellum church. Patches also sells bolts. A shortbow with Barrage might also be good since status conditions have been such a big help. Love the series keep it up

You missed a few dungeons in weeping, there’s impalers catacombs in the northeast, tombsward cave in the southwest right under the church of marika, and earthbore cave in the north (east of the other church)

Absolutely loving this series! I like how you incorporate a lot of weapon variety into your builds, and I think that Saint Trina's Torch would really bring the whole build together. Jokes aside I do love how you do your builds; I don't see anyone else using as much variety as you. I don't really play PvP ever, so watching you excel at it is really entertaining. - If poison and rot bug you, you can grab Flame Cleanse Me at a fire monk camp southeast of Church of Vows with the Pope Turtle. - Additionally, if you want a non-Casting cure for rot, the cook book for rot boluses is near the 2nd bonfire in Siofra river. Sacramental Buds for the recipe can be found at Millicent's church as well as near the Amber Draught for Seluvis' quest. - If you like your dodging and escapes, you can grab Bloodhound Step from the Night's Cavalry near the Gurranc bridge - The Night's Cavalry east of Raya Lucaria near Bellum Church drops the Nightrider Glaive - You could also grab the Golden Vow weapon art from the Knight in Limgrave if you fancy body buffs - Don't forget about cheesy bow tactics with a Golem Greatbow if you wanna try and farm for one - If you want to be extra cheesy in invasions, I think you can upgrade your estus to +8 or something crazy before entering Leyndell - If you're looking for extra stats at the cost of durability, you can get the upgraded Radagon Soreseal near Greyoll in Caelid - Don't forget the Turtle Talisman at the first proper Mariner between Limgrave and Caelid or the Claw Talisman over in Stormveil. The Turtle talisman needs a Key, though, so be prepared

Regarding your question about how nearby works, I actually had an interesting conversation about this last night with someone who knows exactly how it works. Nearby searched the entire sub section of the world map that you’re currently in. So for Liurnia it will search all of Liurnia including any dungeons you have unlocked. In Limgrave it will search all of Limgrave and so on. Near/Far will initially search your immediate area just like nearby but after 3 ticks of the message it will start going down a set list of any areas you have unlocked. You can force it to start searching the list instead by spamming the fingers and the list is always in the same order. It’s something like Limgrave - Weeping - Liurnia - Caelid - Altus - Mt Gelmir - Mountains of the giants - Farum - Snowfields. These obviously include any dungeons you have unlocked in these areas and are dependent on you having the area unlocked on your map. If you don’t then the list is shorter.

The two in the churches to the west (you probably grabbed these on your way to get the zweihander tho) but the one I forget constantly is the one in the frenzy village. Against the tree avatar guys the annoying holy orb attack is really easy to dodge if you just hop on the horse. You move fast enough on the horse that you don't have to worry about sprinting and you can get away from any follow up attacks from the tree. Plus you'll be able to double jump so you don't have to worry about obstacles in the way. I learned this from playing a difficult mod that almost required you to play co op or make use of the horse just to dodge stuff.

The Haligtree medallion half triggers the invasion in the roundtable hold, Gideon Ofnir is the one who ordered the sacking of that village to find that very medallion.

17:47 Getting the right half of the Haligtree Secret Medallion triggers Ensha to go attack you. This is because Gideon was the one who killed the village looking for that medallion. Now that you have it he sends his apprentice, Ensha after you. And he had the plan of if he fails he could always just say his apprentice was a lone assailant.

Having either parts of the Haligtree medallion in your inventory triggers Ensha's invasion. Funnily enough, I've seen some streamers somehow got the Castle Sol medallion first, and immediately *melt* Ensha in their first playthrough.

Hey Chase! Block as you land after a jump, and it resets your momentum, meaning you can immediately jump again without it being that slow, short jump. So yeah, jump, block as you land, repeat. Speedrunner trick that helps in all areas of the game.
