For this if want to do this at a lower level like 120 I'd drop 10 points out of Vigor, Mind, and Faith. Keep in mind this would only be for PvP but the meta is still unknown. I think 100-120 sounds about right for a meta but just playing through the games content I was easily 150 without even farming.

Ehh idk, from the data we've got so far it seems like stats cap much later than other titles - vig scales until 60, str and dex to 80(!) etc - so I'd expect a higher level this time around. It also depends a lot on how the community feels about godrick's great rune and whether or not it should be factored in. Without godricks I actually think 150 sounds like a pretty reasonable meta

Grabbed Elden Stars a bit ago, I can only describe it as profoundly underwhelming thus far. Between the FP consumption and the poiseless ~3 second cast time for damage my lightning bolt can match for less time and FP... I feel like I'm missing the point. Why does a 50 faith req legendary incantation not 1 shot a mid-tier enemy on a first play through w/ a +18 talisman? My only thought is a dex/faith over str/faith build let's it shine since pumping dex reduces cast time?

@@FadedDream6969 for real dude... I have over 2 years worth of game time in bloodborne and thinkn i platinumed it 5 or 6 times i dont remember. Dark souls 3 also has to have close to 500 hours i think. God knows how much in Ds2 cause that game is bassically the closest we had to elden ring in terms of map and exploration style content. Ds1 i platted i think 3 times and played a couple casual playthroughs and with a friend but not that much i dont think. Demon souls sadly i think i just barely have 100 hours. SONY NEEDS TO GET THEIR SHIT TOGETHER - i want a ps5. I only played very little on ps3. But yeah. I think this game will give my bloodborne hours a run for their money

As much of a blast as I have had swinging the zwehiander around, with satisfying oomph in almost every encounter… I am envious of the spectacle that this build becomes. Big sticking almost every mob and a fair number of bosses is one thing, but that seems to be all the build will ever be. Fun, sure, but I have never done anything that looked like my character was calling down literal hellfire and damnation. Might have to switch over after seeing this.

FYI You can get the twiggy cracked tear at the base of the minor Erdtree directly north of the capital. Travel to the “outer wall battleground” site of grace and head directly east.

Been using this build and found a good way to use the lighting spears. Stun them first with Wrath of God and then you have a window to hit the spears and do nasty damage

6:10 For those wondering, the Aspect of the Crucible: Breath incantation is found in Rykard's boss arena after beating him. I think you need to return to Tanith in the main lobby of the Volcano Manor, inform her Rykard is dead, then when you return to his arena, she will be feasting on his corpse. Killing her will reward you with an item (I think?) and will summon her crucible knight bodyguard, who drops the incantation on death.

There is the "coded blade" found in the old roundtable hold throne room in the capitol city. Coded blade is A-tier faith scaling at +9 and also has unblockable blade but is a 1h sword instead of a fist weapon.

I've been playing a faith build (~50 now, similarly tanky build as well) and blasphemous blade is a serious game changer for me. The damage, weapon art, and moveset are all extrememly solid. I honestly don't think there is any competition for a better faith weapon outside of winged scythe and cleanrot scythe.

I've been having a good time dual wield Winged Scythe/Halo Scythe on my Faith build so far. Been doing really good damage with good bleed build up on the L1 combo. The jumping L1 is also really good, and the Winged Scythe weapon art is really cool too and has the benefit of putting a debuff that disables flask use when you hit with it, which is nice in PvP (or fighting enemies that can flask) Will definitely give the Blasphemous Blade a shot when I find it.

I'm lvl 50 and this build is seemingly a later build as its completely ineffective for me. That said I like the weapon I'm using for it, the winged scythe (tho i miss my treespear as it had an amazing charge attack). You can try it as there is a way to reroll your stats. if you haven't done it dont look it up btw. But you WILL come across it as its after the second main boss. I'd say lean into the build perhaps around lvl 80-100 until then just do what feels right at the time.

Right now I’m doing a full pyro/death build with dual scythes and I do 3-5k damage on average per hit and I can do up to 10-15k damage per hit on some enemies. It’s insane. I have talismans which greatly boost my Incantation damage and fire damage. I Use the flame grant me strength spell which buffs fire attacks and that stacks with these talismans. I also use the giants seal which also gives another buff to fire attacks on top of my physics flask buffing my fire damage and granting me that bubble shield. My spells are flame grant me strength, giants flame take thee, flame of the fell god, flame fall upon them, burn o flame, scouring black flame, black flame ritual, and death lightning/black blade.

Double wielding the Winged scythe with another sacred scythe is pretty crazy too. The L1 attacks are strong and you build up blood loss insanely fast. It's definitely less defensive than the greatsword + shield combo but really cool build. Plus the ash of war is great for Pvp

I've had respec items hanging around on all my characters waiting to see if I could make them more effective once your build videos dropped! It looks like I wasn't too far off for the Faith and Arcane ones! But definitely going to take some of these tips to heart. Mostly just a continuing pattern of my confusion on what the heck to do with Vigor, Mind, and Endurance just like in every other Soulsborne game and those stats' equivalents.

If you run this with the fire scorpion charm and the lowered fp cost for skills one it's ridiculously potent. The normal attacks fire properties get a nice boost too, but especially the skill can do a lot of damage especially with buffs like holy vow. The crucible set boosting the fire breath even more makes it very strong in pvp in close quarters as it can be charged to full really quickly and does a ton of stagger, and even comes with some movement while breathing fire. Of course frenzied burst is boosted too which makes for a decent argument to run it over lightning spear, which tends to be more accurate and fp efficient damage wise. I perdonally only bring a buckler at most too, as it lets you get away with not using an equip load talisman.

Great video! This is the exact build I have going at level 80 so it’s nice to see it fully realized in your build. I especially appreciate the cipher pata as I had thought the same thing early on. That sword looks nuts, going to have to find that. I will say the the crucible knight tail swipe has potential in PvP as I noticed once you get it going I’ve never gotten staggered out of it. It almost feels like you have hyper armor while going through the animation. Really good for overly aggressive opponents to chunk their health bar especially if you get them with the 1st and 2nd tail swipe.

That “tear” for runes loss prevention should be right in front of the minor erdtree in Altus plateaux, with a bunch of enemies praying. You can ride your horse there, right before entering the capital castle, iirc.

It gets added to the mimic and sometimes if you do the buff before you summon the mimic, your copy will permanently have the buffs even when they should've expired.

Erdtree blessing does go on both the mimic and you, but that's because it says "yourself and allies." Similarly, you can wait for the mimic to use Erdtree blessing so you don't have to use the mana.

You can frenzy enemies, I've done so with bosses and standard enemies. It's not all of them but it is possible. That's why I like the spear.

What about the godslayer greatsword? Also what if you use the Rykards sword with black gargoyle black greatsword power stance, since both have faith scaling ? Also thought about using dung eaters greatsword to lower enemy defenses first I think it would be amazing in pvp and really decent in pve and it’s versatile, you can use on pretty much any build, just use the WA then switch to your other weapons.

Powerstancing greatswords is gonna require a lot of endurance or lighter armor. TBH that's more a pure combat style thing, if you want to dual wield I don't think a 60 faith casting focus build is what you want.

So, I apologize if there's another comment like this, I did try to look, but there's a hefty backlog... That said, the Radagon and Godfrey icons don't conflict as much as you might think - Radagon does still help reduce charge time as well 👍

Flame of frenzy is the only non-dragon incantation you can use as a main source of damage. Other incantations have less damage, are a lot slower and have higher costs, which will make you run dry quite quickly. Especially on the later enemies, which tend to have much more HP (early NG+1 still has way easier enemies than the normal mid-game) But Weapon Arts/Ashes of War are better than spells in literally every aspect, apart from the OP combo/boss-cheese that is using Cerulean Hidden Tear with the high DPS channels (dragon breaths and Comet Azur). Don't expect to be using any regular offensive spells to kill stuff later on. Unless you're in a low level area and just messing around for fun. Side note: Lansseax's Glaive is just a worse version of Frozen Lightning Spear. They're both quite bad, but FLS deals about twice as much damage if you hit with the spear.

Thank you for making this video! I've been looking at either a faith strength or Int Strength build as my ng+ and you helped me make my decision! I don't really want to use too many spells, but I'm SUPER interested in all of the int based weapons. So I'm going to exclude the MGS since its way too op for me.

Maybe it's more of a str weapon, but golden halberd should not be over looked. Mine was doing about 950 two-handed with 40str and 50 faith if I remember correctly
