@@mastermiggy I'm not very happy with crossbow damage, but the crossbow dualwield sounds weirdly tempting :D. I need to test how it works in the evening xD. Pure DEX builds imho deserve better ranged options, hope they buff crossbows and/or bows a bit. Specifically I would appreciate either some shorter range fucking gatling-like attack as crossbow ash (basically pulley crossbow attack, but bigger and better) and/or something akin to Loretta Greatbow as bow ash. These weapons need some more love.

While you were casting spells, I studied the blade. While breathed dragonfire, I mastered dodge timing. While you fought at range, I honed my melee instincts. I still get one shot by bosses.

@@FightinCowboy I use a mix of Black Bow and Albinauric Bow on my dex build. Black Bow for agility/Barrage. Albinauric for pure damage. Hits a fair bit harder than the Black Bow. Also, not a lot of people seem to know about this, but, you can get pretty good damage+staggers using a lightning setup with the Nagakiba fused w/ Lighting w/ Unsheath. You can use the +Lighting Dmg Crystal Tear and the scorpion lightning talisman, and you are hitting anywhere from 1500~2500+ damage on your R2 depending on enemy resistances and where you hit. I used this on Malenia and was easily able to defeat her due to the mix of damage and stunlocks. Just a neat tech option not a lot of people seem to realize that's there, as Lightning scales completely with Dex. Besides that, I myself have been using Malenia's Hand and a Nagakiba in off hand w/ the successive damage boosting gear. I like to use the Winged Spear Crystal Tear as well to give myself light load for 3 minutes even in heavy armor w/ all your weapons equipped. It can really give you a nice edge in both PvE and PvP as the light roll not only has more s, but is faster and sends you further away, which is way better for spacing. For the crossbow, tryout exploding bolts too. You can use them similar to how they were used in DS3, to manually aim AoE people when they are low. It's extremely hard for opponents to dodge after you get good at manually aiming them. Those just have been some of my findings... Oh and um, w/ 80 dex like our builds have, throwing knives and kukris actually do pretty significant damage. Can be very clutch.

I literally just finished up a 4x Scavenger’s Curved Sword build with the Fingerprint armor set lmao Two in the left hand with seppuku and parry, two in the right with bloodhound step and bloody slash. It’s over the top but crazy fun to have so many options while keeping the same moveset.

Lightning scales with dexterity. So you are still a pure dex build if you put lightning on your off weapon gaining an advantage vs armoured enemies and fighting around water/rain. Spark aromatic scales with dex and its very useful for a fast response to many things. Wakizashi with parry is a very dex style of play.

Pro tip for dex and dex/arc builds - buy a chest full of kukri's from the nomadic merchant in east weeping peninsula and use them liberally; they proc bleed and are super useful against bosses that like to jump away so you can keep dealing posture damage. Consumables in general are pretty strong and worth experimenting with.

You should do a total Bloodhound Fang build man.. I am working on my dex/strength build and it's absolutely insane.. My attack power for the bloodhound is 345 + 596 plus with the bloodflame blade incantation it gives me +222 fire and bleed. Claw Tailsman for better jump attacks, plus I duel wheeled the bloodhounds that are both max level and man, I'm telling you it's a powerful build.

I’m actually doing basically this build but with strength, dual wielding the beastman’s curved swords which drop in the final area which scale heavily with strength. I think they scale a tad worse than some other options but have the best stagger rating of curved swords (which in my opinion has the best feeling power stance moveset) and look pretty cool

Guardian swordspear is disgusting, been using one since I got a drop in weeping peninsula on what i thought would be my katana build. Really the only bad things about the weapon, is that it has short-ish range (the forward step r1 isnt as far advancing as I would like) and the r1 and jumping r1 are a little slow coming out. This thing also staggers really well not uncommon to stagger bosses with this and then finish them off with a critical. IMO its one of the best pve weapons in game that doesnt have bleed.

That's what I'm doing and it's pretty fun. There are some pretty cool unique dex/faith weapons and you don't lose out much on damage for pure dex weapons. Plus you can buff up and cast

I'd like to point out that, from all the testing I've seen from others, the Bandit's curved sword out damages Scavenger's with the same bleed on a bleed infusion, so, unless you really want to go keen and maintain bleed, the Bandit's is a better (but slightly heavier) option

For a blunt variant dex build I suggest flails, the nightrider flail is really nice, plus in PvP I'm pretty sure you cannot parry flails, plus they do bleed and blunt damage for those annoying crystal bosses.

I'm doing double flails with nightrider on my right hand and I'm just jump attack poise breaking and bleeding everything to death, it's awesome. Everything that can bleed just dies, Radahn included, and for everything else the blunt damage is really good. And the jumping duel wielding attack is a downward smash so pretty good to deal with reviving skellies too. All around a great choice in my opinion. Better dex scaling flails would be amazing. If there aren't any I might consider going double Nightrider on NG+ as an alternative to some of the options shown in this vid. They are really really cool.

Even though keen is good but having weapons infused with lightning it does a extra 10 to 20 damage and when it’s raining or on in a area where there is water the lightning damage is increased by 10 to 20% since dex and lightning goes good together

If you're using Millicent, I'd swap the Dragoncrest for Alexander's Talisman. The Dragoncrest mitigates less in pvp, while Alexander's is a flat 15% damage increase for weapon arts

I keep on trying to make a dex build work for me (I'm always big bonk stronk boi) and I absolutely can not make it work for me man. With dex if you get hit you get your HP absolutely fucking inihilated, your weapons don't interrupt or stagger, you have to keep on chipping away and chipping away at health once your past NG++ when you can still kill a boss in about 4 hits with a great sword. It just doesn't work for me. I want it to because I think dex build a look cool as fuck but I just can't rationalize dex builds being useful to me at all. Even in pvp I just get fuckin wrecked with a dex build smh.

If a fast dex katana can hit 650 AR a huge colossal weapon shouldn't be limited to 920-940 AR, feel like the difference in attack speed and recovery warrants a much higher attack rating that 940, with buffs dex can even get way higher than STR AR, idk maybe this is par the course foe the souls games but it just seems wrong for some reason. EDIT: some of my ultra swords only hit like 850 AR while a regular greatsword can hit 780, what is that??

rogiers rapier with blood blade is busted!! bleed procs very quickly and at +14 its at 72 blood loss. absolute monster of a weapon and im only like level 55ish. the dps mixed with low stamina cost, fast attacks with decent range, and the ranged blood blade skill that is infinitely spammable and youve got a recipe for disaster if you are the enemy 😂 ive paired it with flame claws and holy damn i steamroll enemies. and god forbid if theyre weak to bleed thrust and/or slashing
