1. Completing Ruin-Strewn Precipice and defeating the Magma Wyrn will get you access to an alternative route to Altu Plateau. 2. Rya will be waiting for you on the other side (at the nearest grace) once you come out in Altus Plateau 3. After speaking with Rya, she will offer you to teleport you to the Volcano Manor You don’t have to get the Dectus Medallions, and you have to defeat the wyrm anyways so this saves a lot of time if you plan to skip the optional steps.

Nice! I never got that cliff interaction because I got teleported to volcano manner through some other means, but I forget exactly what. I had no idea after defeating Rhycard that you could still find Patches. I'll have to go catch up with my old buddy in the keep

The calm down gesture does indeed unlock if you talk to him after he kicks you down. I got it this way myself

It's worth mentioning that the quest lines covered here also intertwine with the quests of Rya, Bernahl and Diallos who all will show up in volcano manor if progressed correctly and all of them should be completed (or progressed out of volcano manor in Diallos' case) before completing the last assassination for house volcano. I was a bit surprised to see that in the showcased run none of them were in their supposed locations at the manor.

Rya should have been visible for a few shots. I killed Bernahl at the start of this run like a dummy lol. I am currently working on a run where I complete all questlines in a single run. I am planning to make a huge video on it at some point

@@ItsShatter no issues mate, I just thought I'd add the info because we all know how easy it is to miss out on quest progress in this game if the right action is taken too early or too late. :) I for one have nearly completely bypassed rogiers quest without knowing it, so I kinda felt I had to add the info. And yeah, once I complete this run I'm looking to do a 100%run next time, too :)

@@ItsShatter Separate the videos, make a playlist. Easier to consume the content as well as share it. Better for your channel in terms of engagement, reach, views, and monetization. Separate videos are also better to reason about then chapters in a single long-ass video. It'll also be far easier to edit if you need to, which you might because this is a FromSoft game that patches npc questlines with minor version updates.

If you don’t kill patches he goes back to mud water cave and you have to fight him again. Like the first time fight him and don’t kill him he will reopen his shop.

If there a message locking the grace go back to the 1st grace of the cave and go back in it will spawn the adjective quest

one of the first items i bought was the belt lamp. i notice not many youtube videos of elden ring have players with it equipped. ill never get why a person would take a equipped hand slot, for a function that can be performed by an item that doesnt take up a slot.

just to menzione it, look like if you dont visit patches the first time in limgrave, after some story point (maybe completing the Rya quest of defeat the Rykard) the next time you will visit the murkwater cave you will found the Patches equip and an orb who can be used for his shopping material... i dont know if you dont visit him he will be still alive and drop is armor for some strange reason or he will be death by... waiting? maybe? i dunno xD

It's really not fair that when players think a quest is over, npcs they already killed get an update... So it's basically fromsoft ruining peoples 'playthroughs' rather than the players themself.

One of the unspoken rules of "Souls-like" FromSoft games is to "never kill an NPC if you're not sure of the full scope of consequences." Players are partly to blame for this too, especially if they should know better. But for all the new-comers to this experience, this doesn't go without saying and can really mar the experience. FromSoft could do a better job there at making their npc questlines more robust, even in such an expansive world with intricate entwined questlines. By the way, this is specifically with regards to killing npcs. There are other ways to break npc questlines, or prematurely advance them at the expense of others, by simply progressing or exploring the world, e.g. the myriad of ways to trigger the Rhadan Festival, finding Seluvis an inanimate shell before you even begin his questline, missing Sellen's, etc.

Is he still at volcano manor? If he is then speak with him. Otherwise he should show up outside the boss chamber at shaded castle (you might need to defeat that boss too)

It’s the Great Stars weapon. It’s a great hammer. You get it from one of those loot caravans in Altus plateau, south west of the road of iniquity site of grace

Idk if i missed something here but after patches disappears from shaded castle I went back to see if he was in murkwater cave and he was and he attacked me but stopped before I could fight back recognizing who I was. His shop is open again.I also couldn't give Tanith the castanets because I murdered her already.

I didn't get to see him at Volcano Manor, I skipped talking to him after transporter trap and have already gotten to Volcano Manor. I talked to Blackguard already though, and bought the necklace. Can't seem to give it to Rya at the manor yet.

The only reward for the necklace is an invitation to the manor, so as long as you started Blackguard's quest you can just keep the necklace as a keepsake at this point lol

@@_burd. as long as Patches is not at Murkwater Cave and you can speak to Tanith to join Volcano Manor, Patches should show up in the entrance hall after activating /resting at the nearby site of grace. If Rya teleported you there you might want to go step outside the manor / make sure the front doors are open.

I missed him in my first playthrough until very late and when I fought him I hit him once just when he surrendered which was enough to kill him. Did everything in my second playthrough though (except the last step because I hit Tanith).
