One of the best things abous reapers, they do that huuge overswing on jumping attacks, so you almost can hit people behind your back. Also they turn in the air pretty well, if aimed manually.

It's a great weapon with a cool Ash of War, however it is currently bugged. If you try to buff it with Golden Vow or the Commander's Standard buff the special move will do zero damage. You can see enemies taking hitstun from Spearcall Ritual but they take no damage.

It isn't great but it's pretty effective for zoning people or drawing them in, plus you can catch them if they try to cast an incantation for massive damage. Recovery after the L2 isn't bad either.

Tip: if you press r2 after jumping with last-minute timing, it comes out considerably faster and true combos into r1. Additionally, if you do a running jump you can mix your opponent up between this last minute jumping r2 and the running r2, which share a startup animation but hit on very different timings.

Axe of Godrick enjoyer here, I was quite happy to see the person using that. Quite a fun weapon to use in my opinion, especially the L2, even if it's not as good as some other options

4:32, the weapon this guy was using is called the Monk's Flameblade, it can be farmed inside a hero's grave in the mountaintops area and is probably my favorite curved greatsword in the game. It probably has some of the best faith scaling in the game when infused with sacred/flame art, and in my pyromancy build it can easily reach 750-800 passive AR without any buffs or talismans as long as you have it flame art infused. Great versatility with AOW selection too. If you ever want to try out a fire build, this along with the Banished Knight Halberd are probably your best choices.

Carian Knight Sword and Lazuli Glintstone Sword have the cool blocking R2 charge attack plus lazuli comes with the glintstone pebble ash of war. Although it seems to be easy to get guard broken during the R2 charge so it may be more important to have higher stamina if you want to trade with it.

Spinning strikes is amazing in pve. You can do an obscene amount of damage to staggered enemies. And NPC invaders just get stunlocked to death.

You can actually say he's making a living by beating people's backsides in Souls-games. Never mess up with a champ :D I've learned so much by watching his vids. A very fun mechanic is to hold down the sprint button. If you do so, you can start to sprint immediatly without a slow run at the start.

I know that I'm running a fist build right now and it's nuts. Granted it has no range but if you let me hit you it's pretty much over. Cold star fist, 1 with rkr and 1 with any of the roar aow that changes your heavy attack. I use axe talisman, claw talisman, bullgoat talisman, and a flex slot

You should try the chainlink flail, flails are bad but the chainlink flail is the best imo. It works well in a str build or a occult build.

the red lightning buff is Vyke's Dragonbolt, from the boss of the lord contender's evergaol. it's basically both dragonbolt blessing and electrify armnement in a single spell

You probably already know this but you can que a crouch attack by running, crouch, uncrouch. While still running you have a crouch attack for first few steps you take. Great to confuse people and change up your timing with couch attack

Not sure if you're aware, but the Sword Dance ash of war does have a third strike with a follow-up input. Might be useful in some scenarios. Great vid as always!

Yeah, this ash of war is essentially the follower saber weapon art from ds3. Although the additional hit isnt a true combo so i dont use it often. Although it can definitely be useful in certain situations!

With a B scaling in Heavy, Keen, Quality _and_ Occult's main stats, this thing is damn flexible. Even Frost, Poison, and Bleed have absurd buildups with it - if the Holy scythes don't do it for you, you can't go wrong with this one.

They do. Especially the jumping R1 and R2. Go stormveil or something and deliberately surround yourself with the exile knights there n start swinging, it catches people behind you. The range is cookie-dooks as well, I’ll often swing n in my head be like “ahh shit I missed, too far” and it hits, especially the charged r2. It’s like it’s hit box is a foot longer than it’s model.
