It is showing it, but the content is heavily edited to make it palatable to the viewer. If he uploaded the full 70-minute invasion, you would prolly not sit down and watch the whole thing with uninterrupted attention. I speak from experience, even attempting to play out an invasion like this is testing on the nerves of the player. Takes a true masochist to see it through and come out on top.

The fact that the host spent 70 minutes summoning numerous blues and phantoms to fight and die for him and is finally forced to confront the invader in a 1v1 and he doesn't even make a single attack to defend himself is simultaneously the saddest and greatest way this confrontation could have ended.

I think it's more of the hassle to clear out the mobs again to get to the same spot with the potential of getting invaded again and or not wanting to lose. Some people are too competitive or take it too seriously I suppose 🙃

@@Sunny-jk3pq I totally agree with you but some people are content with it just being a co-op pve game which elden ring and other soul games just aren't. It's one of the few games I can think of that forces pvp if you play online and I believe most people aren't use to it. Which circles back to them not wanting to lose/fight scary red man because they aren't use to the pvp side compared to pve with friends which scares them or something along those lines. Which is silly because they are missing out on something that makes the game truly great

Just a host that has never fought an invader. Got carried 100% through the game to the hardest area, and anytime an invader popped up, his friend and a blue were enough to kill the invader. I bet this isn't the first 70 minute invasion this host has sat through.

I also partake in the spite fights. Although I usually try to get sneaky with the invisibility talisman. Sometimes with AFK farmers, I'll go hide and then take my dog for a walk or eat dinner so they can't get more invasions.

In regars to the phantoms and blues facilitating the WWI Officer style of hosting... I really don't think they put much thought into it. I think if they did, they would probably agree that the host refusing to come face you is annoying, but most summons just see invader and want kill invader.

I love seeing these because I encounter so many of these kinds of people on pc. Because of the seemless coop mod there arent many honest coopers left, just people like this who dont care about having a good time and only want their meaningless victory in the most boring way possible.

i think people drastically overestimate how many people are still using seamless coop lmao. the average person does not like to go out their way to mod. also, comparing the amount of total DLs of the mod compared to sold copies and considering time since release, etc., its safe to estimate like only 5% of the playerbase uses it.

Idk man i only do co-op activating summoning pools near and far on pc from level 20-50 and i never have to wait more than 30 secs to be summoned. However i only ever see a handful of invaders rocking rot pots, perfumes, erdtree/bernahl armor and perfumes with 2x bleed poison spears at limgrave and using the deathblight ritual spear bug in leyendel.

On the rare occasion I get summoned as a Blue, I always check to see how the invader is being treated. If he's getting his dick slapped, I'll go toss him a Warming Stone. It ain't much, but it's honest work. I'll also usually let him kill the phantoms first if he's doing good. I don't get anything from being a Blue that I don't get quicker when I'm invading.

The worst part about is this is the Rya cosplay gold. Who makes a Rya build, who hails from frickin' *Death Mountain* and complains about Liurna's cool temperature and thinks *"Ah, Rya should wield a frost halberd."* Blasphemous Blade, Serpent Hunter, Serpent God Swords, a variety of magma weapons-all reasonable Rya weapons. But nah, frickhuge hammer and a Frost weapon. smh

I wish we had more invaders like you, I was helping someone through Nokstella and this invader would not fight, he didn't try kiting us into the river of ant riders, he would gesture, then run there. Eventually he must have gotten mad that he made no progress when we were almost done and did the chainsaw glitch to kill us through a building. It's not that deep, just fight, win or lose. He totally could have won if he just rushed us, host and I had little hp, his dual spears would have wiped us.

i love saint riot and i love invading. i am a player that likes to get in your face and make you play by my tune with builds that have a lot of forward momentum. When i am put in an invasion like yours i feel extremely uncomfortable and do my best to get things going. winning these types of invasions with hosts that are stubborn and posess seas of time provides a kind of high i dont get when i have my regular quick invasions. i guess you could compare it to food where the time it takes for the invasion to end equates to how much prep you put into it. so you get meatball invasions that are tasty and are over quick. or you have to prepare an elaborate meal you're not even sure you're going to find worth the effort until you finally take a bite. i dont know maybe im just crazy.. but you have to be when enjoying saint's content :)

I once waited on a dude for almost 3 hours. The enjoyment of winning a long game is never equivalent to the time spent in relation to normal invasions, but killing upwards of 30 dudes wasn't so bad as it made me feel better at the game than I actually am lmao. Gotta thank those "honest blues" who realize you're getting ganked and decide to take the path of bushido and stand still, even though you've killed like 10 dudes before they arrived xd

I've been getting back into Elden Ring recently and doing some co-op while making my character and I've been really surprised by how many lower level invaders there are, quite a few are ya know spec'd out to be mean at low levels and some are more cute. Today I saw a scimitar wielding pirate and a frog running around with the revenant bell item, the frog was getting bullied pretty badly by the host and other phantom. Until they popped their physick and came charging out at the host and other phantom, well as it turns out that little frog popped the explosion physick and absolutely annihilated the host and phantom and they themselves survived with maybe 50 HP. I'm gonna be honest with you all that was probably in the top ten funniest things I've seen happen in my own time doing PvP and co-op across the Souls games I hope somebody else gets a kick out of it too. Well done little frog. Well done.

I've been getting into invading and having a blast. Im using a stealth crit build and spend tens of minutes stalking people around until i can go for the backstab or if im really lucky, shoot some cocky bastard off of a cliff while hes taking in the view. I dont win a lot of the invasions but when i do the strat feels so good. I love vigor checking people with a back stab.

I hate the player limits in this game. In Dark Souls 3, my favorite memory was when me and friends went ganking-- except two of us were actually reds, and at any given moment we'd just decide to start beating the hell out of eachother instead of the invader. I distinctly remember two of us watching our friend duel the invader, then just yelling "STAGE HAZARD!" as we threw out black firebombs in random directions. Can't even imagine playing like this.

I always do find enjoyment in seeing these pathetic gankers die in vain, and seeing their plans not work out for them. Whenever the dumb phantom is sent home I'd count that as a win. Just seeing them not approach you in an empty room, and not engage you in a 1v1 scenario, shows their cowardice counts as a win for me as well.
