Mindfuck moment: since invasions occur through time and space and are not linear, what happens is that you as the chosen Tarnished are told to kill Juno and you do so through an invasion, which then sets in motion the actual plot in the present with Diallos coming to the Lands Between in search of his lost brother, unknown to him that his brother was killed by you, the chosen Tarnished, which you don't know, because killing his brother happened in the future but affected Diallos in the past. In the same way we find Alberich's armor set in Leyndell, even though he invaded us in Roundtable Hold, suggesting it was the player that killed him there.

Diallos was never trained as a warrior. The fact that he even managed to make it to the Lands Between, and then even to Volcano Manor is already impressive. That he did not have the strength of will to kill in hopes of revenge is no great flaw. He could have stayed home. He could have *gone* home. By all rights he should have. But he didn't. Even if he didn't have the resolve to search for his brother's killer, he still had the resolve to stay. And when those same killers killed his friend, and figured out who they were, he had the strength to travel to Volcano Manor. That he lacked the resolve to do what is required to earn an audience with Rykard is no great flaw. Juno and Lanya were already dead. Doing more evil to get a chance to fight the one responsible, a battle he knew he could not win, would not have changed that. What matters is when he had the chance to fight for someone who was not yet dead. He could've abandoned Jarburg. He could have run or hid. He didn't. He fought to protect those he had taken responsibility for. He was no warrior. He had no chance. But he still gave his life fighting to protect them. When it truly mattered, Diallos was an honorable man. A good man. A hero.

It really says a lot that Juno showered his brother in ADORATION. Very few characters in Elden Ring are described as having adoration or love for other people that's requited or equal, and you can imagine how much fear Juno might have had for Diallos becoming like him, if he adored his brother that much.

Saying "yes" or "no" is a half truth. Of you say yes, almost all the Village died, but Jarburg survived. If you say no, Jarburg survived but not the entire village. At least one of them survived because of Diallos but the rest died

I believe Juno carries two whips, as he believes he has to carry the burden of Haus Hoslow twice. One for him and one for his brother, throwing caution to wind in a sort of deathwish

Diallos has one of the best quest endings. It may seem hard to understand for some but it’s actually quite clear. He always wanted to be a hero and he died as one. As small as Jarburg may have been, he still defended it with his life. He’s more noble than anyone recognizes.

because no one knows who the lord of blood's goons are except Yura and Varre himself. They are a secret organization that works in the shadows of day. The fact that you can only access Moghwyn dynasty through either Varre or the consecrated snowfield shows how obscure they are.

I always felt it was something of a chicken or egg situation concerning Juno's coddling and Diallos' lack of conviction. Was Juno's coddling the cause of it, or was Juno coddling him _because_ Diallos has always been like that. I've since interpreted the situation as the latter, because of what we know of Lanya, Diallos' servant for who knows how long. The two evidently came for presumably the same reason, or Lanya tagged along with him, yet Diallos states that she has "always" been headstrong. It makes Juno's ending that much more heartbreaking. All he wanted was to keep his brother, who has simply never been suited for combat, safe from har. Yet all it did was push him to make the same mistakes that Juno did.

To me invasion is similar to time travel, but unlike most media all events play out regardless of whether or not they would contradict one another. So one could time travel and kill themselves, but they wouldn't cease to exist because there is no entity to prevent or fix paradoxes in the timeline. There's always the possibility FromSoft doesn't worry about it because it isn't the point they're trying to make.

STG take on Juno's fate is a bold theory. The shack where you find Juno belonged to a travelling finger maiden. So Juno is probably alive until you killed him through the Volcano Manor questline. Why would the Manor wants you to hunt a dead person? Perhaps Juno faked his death in order to hide in the mountaintops. The reason why Diallos managed to acquire the same whip and armor could probably due to a second copy. Maybe both Diallos and Juno was destined to carry the Hoslow honor.

That is true for dark souls, and it is very confusing. However, there is nothing at all to suggest that Elden Ring features "other worlds" like dark souls did. In elden ring invasions are just a gameplay mechanic to allow you to fight other Tarnised. People have just assumed the old logic carries over to Elden ring, but this is a different world with different lore and there just isn't any evidence at all to that claim. Besides, there's already plenty of reason why a bunch of random Tarnished should be running around the Lands Between fighting each other, no need to explain it with anything unnecessarily complex

Exactly! We are talking about a man who has traveled thousands of miles shredding anyone or thing that was unlucky enough to cross paths with him. Adorned in the most ostentatious armor set in a land of legendary warriors and demi-gods. Duel-wielding twin petal whips. He made it all the way to the Mountaintops of the Giants, realising he had had enough and deciding to live out his days in a shack....this is also how is is still living in my 3rd playthrough hahaha

talking about invasions, its kinda confusing, i do agree that some invasions are happening across time and space. but some are not. for example, ensha, dung eater, bernahl, edgar, and some of yura's questline invasions. those are legit the people from our own world. as they're all died for real, gone from our world. but some invasions definitely came from outside of our world. there are a few that i can confirm. the infamous vyke, now this one is really confusing. there's 2 vykes we can encounter, one is the madlad vyke, the other one is vyke the dragon champion. which one is the real vyke from our world? im guessing its the one in evergaol. how did he got there? no clue, maybe this one also seek the frenzy, but got imprisoned before doing so. and the one invading us is the mad version from another world. millicent, i can confirm this as i actually tried it on accident, she invaded me on that swamp before i even get to talk to her in the church. so i killed her. eventually got to the church, and you know what? she's still there. anastasia, this cannibal invading us not once, but twice. makes you wonder, didnt we kill this person before? why is she here fighting us? so based on these, the theory that some of them actually came from another universe definitely make sense. the theory that the juno that we fight is not the real juno from our world a little bit of a stretch, because... if the juno from our world is dead, then why would the recusants wanna hunt the variants?, knowing juno, its less likely this one would meddle another world's bussiness. but at the same time, it kinda make sense based on the explanations, so im not gonna deny it completely. its a possibility.

One thing of note, is that when Anastasia is defeated we get the RECUSANT VANQUISHED message instead of INVADER BANISHED for any unaffiliated invaders, she attacks at three locations and probably was at volcano manor.

If the Juno Hoslow from your world is already dead in the first place, why would Volcano Manor give you a request to kill him? Invasions occur in another dimension as in another place different from where you are physically, but I don't think it means it's time travel nor another actual dimension with multiple versions of you. You invade Milicent, you kill her in your world. You invade Sellen or Jerren, you also kill them in your world. I think there's a simpler explanation as to why Diallos and Juno have the same Hoslow armor: It's passed down through generations, but it doesn't mean there's only one. The same with the whip.

I think the armor was just referencing that it's style and look is passed down to Hoslow member's only through the years, not that it specifically had to go from oldest to youngest. The masks are another thing but still interesting. Nice video.

a part i liked about diallos' story with the jars is that jar bairn puts his body inside them. in their eyes he's is a great warrior, so he gets to live on as part of jar bairn both physically and emotionally as an inspiration. i still fuckin hate that this quest happened at all leave my jars out of this fromsoft PLEASE

Well we know they must work in a similar fashion due to Vargram. He weilds his one of a kind sword during our invasion, but we can find it in the world without him. Shouldn't be possible unless we're dealing with parallel worlds.

So I had invasions right I’m going to a different universe or when I’m boss hunting bosses that’s why I see some of the same characters bc they from different universes and why they still exist in mine so the ones I kill from my world are going back In time or it their themselves from present

you had it until that last bit I think. The NPCs you kill in your world are dead for all intents and purposes. They are not going back in time or anything. The universes are parallel, they only interact through invasions or cooperation. Also, this is most invasions, but not all, as we see Ensha from our world pulled us into his own little pocket dimension version of the Roundtable Hold to fight us.

I have no idea how ad revenue works on KZbin, but I know plenty of channels don't have 2 to 3 ad breaks in the middle of a 10 minute video. I'm certain y'all are making a killing off of that, but is it possible to chill on those?

We're actually not haha. We follow standard midroll practices. The way those ads work is they're placed throughout the video, but they only have a chance of triggering, not a guarantee. Sometimes a bunch trigger, most of the time only 1 does.
