This video, I look at those little Fire Blob's, a totally different way! First thought, "Just fire versions of Mimic Tears!" NOW:' I'll have to give the Golem Smiths and their little "Fire Squishies", a much closer look, when I go through Taylew's Forge later!

A possible link between the giants and the hornsent could be the lamenters. They have a lot of aspects (horns and an eye on the back) shared with the giants. The red haired (horned) giants, compared with the red crucible beasts, might have been copied by the hornsent, with the lamenters as an unwanted result.

I'm surprised you didn't mention red glintstones, which appear to be made from sacrifice (presumably from souls)

I would like to add a smith to the list; Our Tarnished. When given access to a forge at the church of Elleh, the Tarnished shows some smithing ability. Add to this the fact that we are able to imbue weapons and change Ashes of war without help. We are clearly a passable smith.

The golems are besties with the little magma blobs
@ChanchoWins21 сағат бұрын
Hi! Nice video! But I would say that regarding smithing in Elden Ring I believe the misbegoten play a much bigger role. One thing that is curious is how the Ruined Forges of the DLC have misbegoten wandering very close to them. Actually, near one of the entrances the player can appreciate a picture very similar to the one in Castle Morne... This also leads into Radagon since within the game files, the misbegoten are tagged as "Children of Radagon". Could this mean that Radagon was a Blacksmith maybe? That could make sense since most of his moveset is hammering just like Hewg...

the thing on the back of the golems is a blood glintstone. They are powered and brought to life with blood glintstone.

5:56 worth noting that the core princeples of the golden order is simular to smithing arts as in : they are trowing away their weapon (law of casulty) and it returns (law of regresion), as well as it both have a chad int/+/fai scaling, because ,,blind faith is stupidity, and faithless intelegence is no diffrent from cowardes"
@Lazymindflayerwithcofffee22 сағат бұрын
0:38 i *realy* disapointed that radagon was not wielding the golden order dreatsword in one hand and his own original greatsword in the other (that also can act as a sacred seal), and elden beast wielding the hammer. But i can see why they chose hammer, after all that is a weapon that symbolises both creation (blacksmith/builders to create buildings/civilazetions) but also destruction (i don,t need to explain this one), so perfect weapon to symbolise godhood.
@happysuds185612 сағат бұрын
Marika’s hammer also looks regal, like a sceptre. Radagon wielding Golden Order Great Sword would have been a sight to behold but it’s funny that I poke Radagon’s crotch and he hits me in the face with his hammer. 🤪

The smiths, priests of the Forge, creating weapons using magma that fuses souls, and the shamans having flesh which melds with other flesh. Maybe there's a connection?
@marystone86011 сағат бұрын
Also, if you want to really throw in a "tin-foil hat", into things, a maybe connection to Rykard somehow! Wait a minute, the two crystals on the Gelmir Staff, COULD be the SAME ones that are in the backs of the Golems! Maybe, the ancient people's that created the Fire Hexes, which were later refined by Rykard, possibly said people, had a connection to the Golem Smiths! Maybe, the practices of wielding Magma and Smithing, in a spiritual manner, got to stay a little more intact, in the Land of Shadow! Messmer's Spear, possibly being a Smithscript weapon, would explain it more! Okay, REALLY BAT-S%#@ theory coming, but, depending on how long Radagon and Marika were one and the same, even though Rykard's mother was Rennala, that MIGHT explain HOW Rykard was able to meld with the Serpent so well (all things considered!), maybe he got a little bit of Shaman in there, somewhere! (and his ability to do THAT, not just because of his Great Rune!) I'm thinking there is a DEEPER connection between Rykard and Messmer, that doesn't JUST stem from them being half-brothers!

When it comes to Marika, it feels like there are items that serve as puzzle pieces to her story. From her Hammer linking her to the forged, to things like the snake skin in Bonnie village. Did see use the god devouring serpent to collect enough runes for her to forge something? That’s my line of thought
@drakmendoa19 сағат бұрын
It's something I also thought about. What is when in this story not the snake seduced someone with the fruit from a tree, but Marika seduced a snake to give her the power of a tree? That would on the one hand imply that Marika somehow escaped Bonny Village, but on the other hand could that be the sin Marika did that the Hornsent called her out and that Miquella tried to undo.
@epiccthulu18 сағат бұрын
@ I want stay away from the Living Saint translation error for this. The living jars were the result of stuffing criminals into jars with their bodies mashed up with a Shaman to create people who were sinless. I apply that logic to the serpent. I apply that logic to stuffing bodies inside of rykard’s serpent. It would seem he fed himself to the serpent like someone would give themselves to a living jar. Just like with the ants, however, it seems like that was how Marika could’ve collected enough runes to forge her version of the Elden Ring

Constructive criticism, *not* shit talking: I think this analysis is overlooking an extremely fundamental set of facts, & it might be worthwhile reproducing this video at a later date after updating the analysis. ER takes one of the most basic & ubiquitous RPG mechanics (upgrading/improving weapons, equipment, etc) & ties it *directly* to one of the most fundamental themes of the ER story & universe: upgrading costs *souls* Obv, “souls” are a key element (perhaps *the* key element?) affecting existence in The Lands Between; whether it’s the nature of the Erd Tree or what it means to be Tarnished or a score of other ER universe-characteristics, “souls” are far, far more than an arbitrary in-game currency. Fromsoft directly tying a core mechanic to those souls elevates the significance of smiths, smithing & all related elements in ER (eg., forges & forging golems), & I think very likely adds a whole lot of weight & extra importance to anything smithing-related, & thus changes, I think, how anything smithing-related must be explored.

This vid makes me think... the ruined forges could be THE Crucible itself. 🤯 Given the length of the timeline all the events written about is, what I gather is hundreds of years at the least... I like this idea, and so far I can't think of anything in-game that would contradict this idea... that the actual Crucible of life are the ruined forges themselves!
@frankiefromky23 сағат бұрын
also, something completely different... this explores the idea of artificial life manufacturing more artificial beings like themselves, essentially a copy of themselves. This is one of the oldest theories and also bases a lot of new ones, especially in A.I. . Like, how do we define an artificial being and what happens when this "artificial life" gets smart enough and capable of replicating...? Very deep subjects. I believe the explanation of why Taylew is the deity is that Taylew was the first of his kind, created so long ago records do not exist.. only lore and legends. I'm sorry of double commenting, but I had to add this... Cheers mates! 🍻

I suspect that the torch is actually related to Shabriri's physical form, or his remains. His birth being tainted by the flame, he might have been stillborn, but his soul can jump bodies, as he did to Yura once the Tarnished reaches the mountaintops.

@XxBANKAIxX3 күн бұрын
Now in my opinion we are the true lord of frenzied flame not midra since he is a failed lord since he was too frail and weak and I don’t think shabriri is either since Shabriri is associated with the origin of the Frenzied Flame itself meaning Shabriri is not directly the Lord of Frenzied Flame, but is said to be the source of the flame's corruption so the only true candidate to be the true lord of the frenzied flame is the tarnished similar to miquella and malenia aren’t the ideal candidate to become a god like queen marika so like ranni we are the only reasonable choice to become the lord of the frenzied flame but what do you think?
