Well, this is a full circle moment. Lol. Because of your KH3 Critical Mode videos and your Bloodborne series, I was inspired to make Elden Ring content. And now, I'm watching you fight Malenia. That's something else, Will. Also, I've been Stockholmed into a love-hate relationship with Waterfowl Dance. I've done this fight so many times that I've gotten very good at dodging it at pointblank. Still clips me sometimes though and it is still one of From's least intuitive attacks to dodge.

That’s awesome to hear! There are definitely some cool ways to dodge it, but I’ve not spent enough time on this fight to learn them. Still don’t think they intended for it to be dodged that way. If they did then their expectations for most players are far too high

To be honest, the From fandom has gotten really creative on how to deal with Waterfowl, but I'm with you that when the devs made that attack, I don't think they ever imagined it being dodged by messing with her tracking. It's still one of the hardest attacks to dodge in the whole franchise. Even Yozora's DM is more intuitive to dodge because while that attack is way longer, it is still basic reflex tests.

you can consistently punish the kick with an r1 / unsheathe btw. Most useful in phase 2. Though I guess dps doesn't matter as much in no hit than it does in rl1
