Managing your stamina is key in these games. You can pull enemies from a group using a bow if you're a melee build. Reduce your equipment load so you don't fat (slow) roll. The rolling mechanic or even better the parrying mechanic in these games is the secret easy mode. Mastering them goes a long way.

Tips: keep equip load under 70% for faster rolling. If you die in an area you don't have to beat every enemy again just run back to get your runes and keep progressing. Also patience and don't get greedy. Enjoy!

@@fredfinksbasically equipping armaments/armor/talismans will take up some of your equip load which you can see with their stats. You will also see your total equip load on the right by your stats. Make sure the equip load is below 70% filled so when you roll it’s quick rather than slow.

I have played all soul games except bloodborne so telling a few things that might help you with the gameplay aspects: 1) What you wear and how many weapons or shields you put in slots have weight to them and there is always a limit . In elden RIng you should always keep the weight from 30.0% to 69.9 % (top right corner in pause menu). If you go over that enemies can hit you easily and your roll is not only slower but you use lot of stamina (green bar). This stat endurance which affects your stamina is really really important so don't ignore and whatever item helps with either health and stamina use it or better keep it for Boss Fights. 2) In these games always keep an eye on how many runes(which are basically with what you buy skills) you have. If you are going to encounter bosses or challenges always go to a rest site and use. You will get one chance to get them back after you died ,in the location where you died. Though if you die again before getting them you'll lose them forever. 3) This is your 1st new experience so have a quality build will ease you through the game to a limit. That means only upgrading strength and dexterity. You will also be able to use 75% of the game's weapons as they scale with strength and dexterity. 4) Use backstabs and running heavy attack as often as they do 2-3 times more damage to enemies ( does not work on bosses). 5) This game encourages hit and run tactic. So use your horse in combat as often as possible( in case of bosses aggressive summons works the best). These five should get you by through the bare minimum of gameplay aspects. Don't want to spoil more as want to see you discover some sick gameplay elements if you think to play through it.

Try different weapons and skills that looks fun. dodge and parrying or counter is so satysfiying and important in these games in order to beat the bosses and any other enemies especially the dodge is very important and you cant just dodge any time you want there has to be a timing to the dodges, like just as the enemy is beggining to attack you dodge, and its very important to keep the equip load low so your dodges is fast and easier to do, in souls like games you have to analyse the enemies movement so you know what type of attack it does and the pattern so you can dodge or parry or block at the right moment.
