it’s kinda ridiculous the amount of input reading the dlc bosses have. As soon as you even press the healing button they will rush you or dealing long range attack. At that point what are you supposed to do. It’s not enough to keep distance at this point. With how little damage window you already have and now you gotta decide if you can even heal, I completely understand why it’s not even worth healing sometimes.

Did it really work?? I hate the npc summons, especially in this dlc, because they hella scale the boss hp just to deal no damage, never dodge, and maybe sometimes take aggro away from me (which sometimes I prefer having since I know what to expect from the boss' moves. Otherwise I'll be behind them or something and get hit by a stray I couldn't see coming) The stagger they deal is nice I guess, and the aggro gives nice downtime, but significantly worse than a player or spirit ash imo. Or just thugging it out solo like a mule.

@sgtbanana1703 in my experience they'll face tank damage instead of dodge until like second phase, then explode to the boss' dps, while throughout the entire fight dealing what feels like unupgraded weapon's damage, leaving the player to shoulder 80/20 of the health rather than 50/50, with the boss hp scaling as if they're a player with full damage. Aggro prediction is honestly only a minor headache, I just mentioned it to mention. Only attacking after the npc does almost ensures the hit, and then you can just dodge until they take it back, plus you'll worry about constant healing pressure with another entity getting slapped in your stead. They're a nice replacement for a human player without spending resource I guess, but most of the time when I help a host who summons them, they drag up the scaling without any dps and then poof, when as 2 people we probably would've survived idk I'm bad

fighting naked while learning is actually good, since u take way more damage you will be more safe but as you roll faster you can punish more stuff, with time you will learn basically all her moveset while learning punishments too, then u put some armor on and it's easy

to anyone wanting a tip: the single most consistant opening with her is whenever she takes an open wide stance with both swords behind her torso. when she takes that pose, she will always remain open for a hit or two, even in phase 2, and its a stance that's very easy to tell apart from any other.

If you’re struggling on this boss like I was for a while, spell drake talisman 3 did it for me. The magic negation on it is nuts. Her carrion slicer went from doing just over half my health to 1/3. I was able to kill her immediately after getting it.

People hate on her why too much, but personally i love everything about her, my playstyle is just play it classic without spirits or summons and without hemorrhage, so i got it tougher than my other friends, i'm not even mad that it literally costed me 1 hour and a half to beat her since her moveset is just way too clean and beatiful, the choreography of how she swings her swords and how she combines it with her magic and with Mesmer's flame is beatiful.

I’m not gonna stop but I genuinely want you all to rank my build. I have two Iron Greatsword. One with seppuku and the other with lion's Claw. Both swords do bleed. A dragon communion seal on my left hand second slot, as for my right second slot is the Occult Cross-Naginata. My talismans are Radagon's scarseal, claw talisman, shard of Alexander, and lord of blood's exultation. No helmet, Raptor's black feathers, Bull-goat gauntlets, and Radahn's Greaves. My recommended stats are mostly around strength, dexterity, and arcane. I have 70 for both strength and dexterity, while arcane is at 80. My spells are swarm of flies, bloodflame talons, bloodboon, flame grant me strength, flame sling, flame fall upon them, and Ekzyke's decay. There you go. My Elden ring build. I'm currently level 381 with like +500 hours in. Rate my build and wish me luck in the new DLC.

Rellana is the best kind of boss. With correct spacing you can just walk in circles around it without getting hit, no need for dodging or jumping most of the time, just chill and counter

If you feel like you can’t do it Afro, go explore for shadurtree blessings and reverend ashes. The dlc has Sekiro leveling and think of those as Sekiro rememberences used at the grace to increase dmg and your dmg resistance.

I love this fight, I had to try it like 50 times but loved every attempt. Beat her with the backhand sword with poison and rot grease. I had to go back to the original game to farm ingredients for the grease.
