So basically the lore revelation here is that the finger boss you fought is the mother of all of the fingers (two fingers and finger enemies) and that when the two fingers attempt to communicate with the greater will they are actually talking to the mother of fingers who in turn is trying to talk to the greater will. The mother of fingers boss is actually a daughter of the greater will as well. Also the greater will didn’t abandon the world after the shattering. The greater will did so since the beginning. The entire time people thought they were worshiping the greater will but they were actually worshiping a weird ass finger monster

He didn't fake it, his build is just braindead and handheld. The ability to run in and do a jump, attack, run away, do it again, and keep stunning things is ridiculously trivializing. Add in near infinite lions claw poise and the fuckload of resistance you get from leveling strength and the game becomes a joke.

I know you're not bad at the game, and I hate when people gatekeep playstyles, but your scadutree blessing isn't too high. Your build is just braindead and handheld. I've seen you beat fire giant with a torch and mohg with a dagger so I know you can beat the dlc with any build but using something else that's not super optimized and overpowered would probably challenge you more. It's literally easier to play your build with no summons than a typical players unoptimized build where they keep using new things or trying things just because they are cool and also use a +10 mimic tear.

Yes. Summons are even less skill than lions claw greatsword. Summons not only do a ton of damage, they are incredibly tanky and takes the aggro from the boss off of you. It is braindead easy. You can try telling yourself that you're soooooo much better than you actually are, but summons make the game a joke. They are for bad players who want an easy mode. Which is perfectly fine if you want to play that way. But don't come acting like any solo way of playing the game is even remotely on the same level.

All but the few in arena summons make the bosses harder since they do no damage, and cause the boss to have way more HP + die instantly most of the time. As for spirit ashes, most of them are dogshit, with maybe like 3 of them being good. If you think wolves or imp ashes make the game easier than lion claw colossal weapon spam, you're just brain dead. I can tell you're one of those trash full bullgoat bots who tries 3v1 ganking invaders with your RoB spamming friends and still manages to lose.

@cannedsquasher5923 LOL, buddy it's pretty obvious you're on insane levels of copium. Take Malenia. Spirit ashes are a straight up liability, and most people have to use zero skill poise damage spam like lion's claw. DLC Radahn: Mimic tear with a normal build is harder than cheese fingerprint thrusting build tons of people are using. As for NPC summons, unless it's in-arena summons, they're a straight up liability. They do no damage, die fast, and significantly increase boss HP.

@@cannedsquasher5923 Lions claw greatsword might have been one of the easiest playthroughs I have ever done in a souls game, legit three tries max for any given boss until the dlc and even then most of them. Currently rocking a faith build and even with a mimic it is WAY harder than lions claw/ jump attack spam with a colossal weapon. I might agree with Jevs take a little more on summons if the build he uses on every playthrough wasn’t complete cheese.

Especially if you yourself are attacking with your summon. So wouldn’t say summons are for bad players or even less skilled players. Unless you’re just cowering and letting your summon do everything, in that case you’re taking the easy way out. I also say that spamming one move over and over is for less skilled players. End of the day play how you want to play, you aren’t any less regardless of your play style

That knight with the cool armor set has arguably the best spirit summon in the game if you do the grace option instead, you can also go to rabbaths rise and you’ll find her sister anna the first knight you kill when you go down the ladder and then it will ask if you want to join them together, pretty cool quest line tho

Okay can we just stop bringing up the subject on how others want to play the game!!? Jesus Christ. If you buy the game, play how you want. I don’t agree with Jev or anyone on the whole “You’re not a good player if you’re going to use summons” when actual good players have used summons or anything that can help them. I love Jev but he abuses the JUMP ATTACK cheese constantly which is fine. It’s his game. Also can’t the same be said to players that go after Scadutree fragments? Those are in the game to HELP players get stronger. If you collect enough, you’re almost unstoppable. Shouldn’t that be looked at as having “no skill” because you decide to use something that makes you stronger or easier to fight bosses? You see how stupid that sounds? People are way too weird about how others play a game. It has nothing to do with you being a bad player. Maybe just maybe someone doesn’t want to stay on the same boss for hours. Maybe just maybe a lot of players don’t have the luxury of sitting around trying to make a game harder for themselves. Play the game how you want and stop worrying about some clown from the Souls community making you feel awful for doing things your way.

You could try doing a +0 run (no weapon upgrades) so you then have to learn each bosses moveset to a decent level. If you struggle with this then u could use status effects (bleed, poison etc) to help.
