Once you kill him the 1st and 2nd time you can riposte them in the head while there dying and knock off a little bit of there hp for the next phase

I was having difficulty until I luckily happened to hit its head with a fire spell, it did a weirdly large amount of damage and I immediately switched to a fire-aspect sword lol

My fav boss so far honestly. Quite easy but I liked the dynamic phases and the telegraphed attacks with DS2 amounts of breathing room. I havent even really attempted messmer or bayle yet, tho. Just got slaughtered by them and moved on lol.

I think you fight this tree thing in the way exactly like how you fought midir: hitting its head and trying to stay in front of it instead of staying under its body

I feel like it would smell like a cross between that instensely earthy, musky soil smell you find in an outdoor section of Home Depot or Lowes, in combination with the dank, sour smell of dried beer and peanuts at the bottom of some sports stadium seats.

Took me a solid 1.5 hours with a normal game, level 150 +5 Scadurtree upgrade. This boss is just ridiculously hard. Was fun though, even with it‘s inconsistencies.

I disagree with everyone and this was one of the best boss fight in the dlc. Not in terms of difficulty or animation but just the whole beauty of it all. Here you are fighting this sacred and important being that just refuses to die. In the 3rd phase it's weak and dying, it can barely even attack you yet it still fights and the music becomes really slow and sad...like here you are killing something that shouldn't die.
